And this would go hand-and-hand with the in-game purchase feature... You could buy your item, and then change into it... I was trying to make a dressing room that had a gui that could access your inventory and allow you the change... but there's no service... qq

I appreciate this potential implementation because of its convenience; not having to minimize your ROBLOX game browser while playing a game would be nice, but not critical.

I myself wonder why it was never pushed through from time to time. It's not something I really have a use for, but I honestly think it was a great idea that should have gone through. As someone else mentioned, with the release of in-game item purchasing, I find this almost a necessary feature. Letting people go to a game, purchase an item, and put it on, all right there, A++.
