'professional' I'm sure using smoky brushes and fancy bevels is really professional. In fact, during my Digital Design class, I attempted the same thing for a logo project. I got a D because it was unsatisfactory and bland. Logos are meant to express an organisation through a simple yet expressive design. Not a slop of effects mashed into one little ugly splotch.
