-[The Grand Imperium]-
Days After the Strife [Prologue / Act I ]
A Compendium of Events
[Imperial Codex; Library Edition 7b; Reference Simplification]
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Note-
Some events in this story are based off real people and events through Arcadia’s history. Otherwise, characters were made up, as well as events, to embellish the story. Some clan names have been altered, to better suit their sound, and some clans have been ignored due to the lack of space capacity. Many of the references and events have been altered, and do not contain the full truth. Thus, some parts in this lore contradict that of ROBLOX, and exist in a different timeline. This is, again, for the betterment of the story.
This is a complete collection of Arcadian lore. Read only for your own entertainment, this is not required reading.

[Prologue; Act 0]
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The days of the Arcadian Union are long gone; now comes the days of the Imperium. Castellian Nevermoor, once a Union leader himself, now the Emperor of one of the greatest empires to ever reach the stars. Unreliable, incompetent officers and advisers have been purged clean again and again, replaced with newer ones to fill their places, thus keeping leadership clean and free from spies and traitors. The Imperium now extends several solar systems across and around; thousands of worlds stripped of resources and used for industrial and military purposes. The seat of the Imperium, Arcadia, a bustling hub for nobles and aristocrats. Citizens reside between the core of the Imperium and the outskirts of industry and defense. While citizens and nobles live in tranquil peace within the embrace of Emperor Nevermoor, soldiers of the Grand Imperium wage war on the horrors of space. Vicious aliens, barbarians, pirates, heretics, Shivan rebels, and the various factions who dare stand in Arcadia’s path are all met with the end of a gun barrel. It has been over 750 years since the Breaking. 750 years of reform, of breakthrough, of purging. Emperor Castellian Nevermoor has died many times over, only to reincarnate due to methods not even a majority of the high command are aware of. Effectively immortal, Emperor Nevermoor has guided his empire with certainty and austerity. To this day, Arcadia has yet to meet its match in interstellar might and imperial power...

[Act I]

The Age of Reformation
The Age of Reformation was a period of instability and unease. Arcadia had been fully converted to the Emperor’s control, and the Age of Strife had come to a close with the defeat of the Arcadian Union at the Siege of Historn, which was followed by the immediate dissolution and destruction of the Union. In its place, came the Grand Imperium. This time period has come to be known as the Age of Reformation.
During this time period, the Arcadian government conducted an unsuccessful experiment in using incompetent and undisciplined Officers to take the high command positions in the Empire. The issues that were related to the relationship between the Emperor and his Officer corps was growing more unsettling, and further conflict had produced the Grand Purge of Arcadia. This purge established an austere totalitarian government, and confirmed the Emperor as the rightful leader of Arcadia. Though this established the power of the Empire, it would give way to a period of insurrection, eventually resulting in the full reformation of the Empire.
Castellian Nevermoor
Castellian Nevermoor, the last remaining member of the original Imperial Order, began to establish more an authoritarian approach to the government as time increased. Up to this point, he had skillfully avoided conflict over two troublesome issues: the disobedience of the Officer Corps, and the relationship between himself and his subjects; whom he had forcefully taken rights from.
These problems were originally suppressed, and due to an improvement in economic stability, the bourgeoisie were content, and thus the proletariat had no predominate force to rally with. As such, the general populace could do little. Though their general quality of life was poor, much of the masses refused to do much in terms of rebellion. By this time, the labour unions had been abolished, and the workers could only express their concerns through government owned labour-institutions. These institutions were strictly controlled by the government, and signs of rebellion were quelled.
Castellian Nevermoor and the High Aristocracy
Castellian Nevermoor insisted that the high aristocracy was imperative to the nation’s stability. Rather than creating an aristocracy based on primitive rights of heritage, the Emperor insisted that his most trusted advisors were to be placed inside a legislative body known as the “High Aristocracy”
Upon its creation, the High Aristocracy was exempt from many obligations. The members of this prestige order were exempt from taxes. Many of these members were staunch conservatives, wishing to preserve the status quo as to hold on to their position and wealth. As such, corruption ensued, and an enormous gap existed between the rich and the poor. With little to no way of expressing their concerns; aside from the government-controlled unions, the masses were unable to voice their appeals.
Talatoné Daladiez (2378 - 2410)
Opposition to the implementation of the High Aristocracy came from Emperor Castellian Nevermoor’s chief financial advisor, Talatoné Daladiez. Unlike the majority of the members appointed to government positions, Daladiez had come from a poor family, and as such, he understood the problems that could come of neglecting the working class. In 2401, Daladiez proposed a list of grievances, known as the “30 Points.” In this collection of 30 articles, Daladiez had highlighted many key factors that were causing the downfall of the government and its economy. Daladiez’s main concern was the High Aristocracy, and advocated a complete dissolution of it, and instead establishing a bicameral legislation based off the principles of a meritocracy. Of course, the High Aristocracy would not stand for its institution being threatened, and the night before Daladiez was to present his 30 Points to the Emperor, Daladiez was assassinated by members of the Aristocracy.
Daladiez’s 30 Points
Daladiez’s 30 Points were not written in vain, however. The following week, the points were delivered to Castellian Nevermoor by confidential means, and the plot by the Aristocracy was revealed. In response, Castellian Nevermoor authorized the “Daladiez Decree” which limited the power of the Aristocracy to that of a council which simply made suggestions to the Emperor. The plotters whom had Daladiez killed were executed in public, and ultimately as a solution, royal absolutism was strengthened. Castellian Nevermoor, at this point, became more impatient, and, following the posthumous advice of Daladiez, became more liberal, advocating change for the better.
The Crisis of Aera (2405)
In 2405, a crisis arose that threatened the security of Aera, the capital of Arcadia. Demas Letra, a relative of an executed Aristocracy member involved in the plotting of Daladiez’s death, incited a worker’s rebellion by manipulating wages of the highest employed companies. He blamed these wage manipulations on the Emperor, and by using forged documents, he was able to do so. His goal was to unite the people to stage a coup to overthrow the Emperor, and establish an oligarchy with the High Aristocracy at its head. The rebellion lasted approximately four days, but in these four days of rebellion, the Emperor understood many of the problems affecting his nation.
The Grand Purge
Following the immediate suppression of the Aera Crisis, the Emperor decided upon a complete and utter purge of his High Aristocracy. He realized that many of them were corrupt, and did nothing but bring downfall for the prosperity of Arcadia for their own personal gain.
On April 7th, 2405, (from the standard Gregorian Calendar) Emperor Castellian Nevermoor invited the corrupt members of the High Aristocracy into their chamber. There, by some form of execution, they were all simultaneously killed. Reports on the event vary, but several historians agree that neurotoxin gas was used to quickly rid of the insubordinates.
The Grand Purge’s Effects on the Military Regime
Up to 2411, the military would remain separate from the administrative order of the nation. The military was led by several generals individually, appointed through their prestige in combat. Though some competent generals filled the Arcadian ranks, a large majority of the army was made up of poorly-trained officers. Outraged that his military was not to his standards, Emperor Castellian had the military purged as well, and approximately 75% of the militaristic order was replaced. From this purge, two brothers arose to the high ranks of Arcadia, Klelthin Aulferinus Delargivic, and Maester ToberDam Delargivic, both accomplished military veterans.
The Force Decree of 2411
To finalize all military reforms, in 2411, Castellian Nevermoor decided to combine the military and administrative efforts of Arcadia under one body, known as the Supreme Order, a legislative and militaristic combination of officials that would represent both the State, and its military. Those at the highest position of authority were known as Lords, with the only outranking member of the Order being the Overlord. ToberDam Delargivic emerged as the Overlord, whilst Klelthin Delargivic obtained the position as the Lord of Disciplinary efforts. Other important figures arose, such as Lord Tiberius R. Strategus, whose job was to stabilize the internal affairs of Arcadia, whilst simultaneously aiding the newly appointed head of Reaper Industries; Vincent Lambardi with his role of re-establishing the technological order. Another Lord was also put in place, with Vatreus Nevermoor being the Lord in charge of establishing diplomatic relationships with foreign powers.
These figures quickly attempted to fit into their roles, and subsequently began to enact new reforms to benefit Arcadia. In order to appease the proletariat masses, many more rights were extended to the people, including the basic liberties of speech and property. Labour Unions were established, and the production of state-run Banks ensured a better development of the planet. Citizens of Arcadia were more likely to take risks and invest, and as a result, the economy soared, reaching heights unseen by the population.
The Supreme Order
The Supreme Order thrived in its ability to maintain the government in a status of prosperity. All major issues were taken directly by the Overlord and Lords, whom met often to discuss of important issues inside of the government. Smaller issues, such as the management of local countries (districts, as they were called) were discussed by the other members of the Supreme Order. By 2419, the Order had over 7000 members, each representing different districts. Each representative was appointed directly by the Lords, and lasted for 10 years. Signs of corruption would cause them to be immediately expelled, and in some cases, death would be the appropriate punishment.
The Galactic Declaration
By the end of the Age of Strife, and the destruction of the Arcadian Union, Arcadia had an active space fleet. Without the technology to colonize, however; the space fleet was left stationed at Arcadia, unable to do anything but wait. Thus, in 2422, the Supreme Order was called to make the decision of interstellar travel. The existence of other sentient civilizations was known, and several embassies existed in Arcadia from numerous allied nations.
At the time, a supreme order of the Galaxy existed, known as the Council of Worlds. This Council consisted of representatives from any Civilization which exceeded possession of three galaxies, and its primary goal was to categorize all space-faring nations. Overlord ToberDam Delargivic himself was an extreme supporter of this Declaration, and in 2423, the Galactic Declaration was made, and the establishment of The Grand Imperium was known throughout the cosmos. This would lead to a rapid period of Imperialism, known appropriately, as the Age of Colonization.

If you actually read all of this, congratulations; you deserve a cookie. This took about two days of work, and we have Act II already created, but we'd probably break thread length if I posted that too.
Thanks for reading.
