Even an unofficial one that ROBLOX will allow the usage of? I put something really basic together on my site webstudios. webs. com / r. html? a1818 a means asset id f means forum id so a1818 goes to crossroads. Obviously this could be a much shorter link, but Sorcus I know many people would love one.

Yeah, very simple. Since we are no longer allowed to use t.co links.

Why would you need or want a shortener when you can just post the link directly? _________________________________________________________________________ Twitter: https://twitter.com/MarkOtaris

I find often that links are to long, or don't fit nicely in descriptions for groups or items.

URL shorteners are only useful in very, very, very limited and rare cases. They're significantly misused and abused. They make it hard to figure out where a URL points, create reliance problems, make getting to pages longer, multiply DNS requests, waste time because you need to create them... and have basically no benefit whatsoever. _________________________________________________________________________ Twitter: https://twitter.com/MarkOtaris

As a general rule, the only cases where you should use a URL shortener are cases where you wouldn't think about using one in the first place. So if you're thinking about using an URL shortener, you probably shouldn't. _________________________________________________________________________ Twitter: https://twitter.com/MarkOtaris

This is smaller: roblox.com/--item?id=98641786 It is a little bit better.

I was just about to suggest this on S&I. I imagine something like roblox.com/123456 would work nicely, but being a newbie web dev I'm not sure how possible it would be. Especially on a 8(?) year old site.

@arc That wouldn't work well, since it'd clash with basically everything on the domain. I'd say more: roblox.com/item/123456

It's really easy with mod redirect. I use it on my website.
