We at ROBLOX do appreciate – heck, we even count on – user reports regarding behavior that doesn’t belong on site or in games. After all, there are comparatively few of us ROBLOX staffers and, well, millions of you. Abuse reports from so-called “mini-mods” are not any more important than reports from any other user. (In other words, it’s not as if “mini-mods” have any special pipeline to ROBLOX staff. They don’t.) We don’t have volunteer moderators. Mini-mods are not official. Mini-mods do not have any special powers. Only ROBLOX staff moderators can evaluate behavior and issue warnings, bans, or other actions. User reports themselves have no bearing on what specific action might be taken. That is determined by mods based on strict internal guidelines. So if you want to help and see something inappropriate or otherwise against the rules, please report it – *and let it go at that.* You don’t need to run around posting “reported!” or trying to tell people what they should do or not do. That really isn’t helping – and will probably create more problems for you than you’d like. In fact, overdoing it as a “mini mod” is likely to see you end up as the subject of a report yourself… and that just creates more work for our moderation team, which is exactly what we don’t want. So exercise good judgment, ok? We’re counting on all of you to help keep ROBLOX fun. Thanks.
