Okay, very well. I don't think I could enjoy the game if I felt constricted like I do on yours. But speed > looks. Maybe in a few years it can be done.

I've seen the demo. that is SO COOL. I admire your desire to innovate. Few would try this, either because of lack of knowledge or in fear of stepping too far from what sells. I can see this game being very successful game. BUT this is what I tell a lot of players. I study the game industry a lot. After spending a lot of time on roblox, I've learned a few things about popular games. The biggest thing I have to say is: Remember this is Roblox. Though this concept sports a lot of shock and awe, Roblox makes it's name off of it's player interaction and PHYSICS. I feel I'd have a lot more fun with the game if I could walk around in the ships I create, and I feel after a while some players might feel *constrained!* by being locked to each planet's surface at a fixed walk speed. Though I know this probably isn't the FOCUS of this game, I would rather see you use this current movement system for small bodies like asteroids, and have it take part in the 3d space, like you're on a space walk; Then try using TRADITIONAL planet styles instead, and make it so that you "beam down onto" planets. This would make more sense in my opinion as you would need to enter planets to interact with other players on them, but on an asteroid you're out in space with everything else. Also, this would make it so that even though many things and players in the game may be inverted or spun, since you can't see into the planet, you could orient planet surfaces to the normal world rotation and allow players to move like they normally do. This is purely my opinion. in summary, I think you should -allow players to move in ships -use your current movement system for spacewalking on asteroids -planets should be oriented normally and are "beamed down onto" so that normal roblox physics can be restored an make controls feel more comfortable. I apologize if I dropped into gibberish during that blurb. it was all coming off the top of my head. It's all up to you. Just as someone who really likes this industry, I wanted to share my opinion.

Losing everything would be kinda harsh... I'd think it would be better if you lost a certain percentage of your possessions (randomly chosen), Lost possessions would of course be transferred to the winner(s). This way people that lose have a high chance of being able to continue playing with a small amount of work, while giving the winners some possibly epic loot :)

If the planets you make have the same material on them, people will most likely go to that planet all the time. Stuff on planets should be randomly generated in my opinion. http://twitpic.com/cwe4ya

Perhaps brainstorm on how ships would hold either aggressive or passive stances. If two ships from opposite factions have aggressive stances, they immediately go to war and their weapons are disabled; otherwise, the other ship receives a warning that a hostile is approaching and to either leave the area, surrender immediately, or face the fire.

I think it should all be ship battles, and on land you have very bad weapons to fight with. A game with all space fighting I think would be interesting but would require a lot of scripting. I'd be happy to help you build vignettes and other things such as terrain.

You should mess with FieldOfView to show some kind of interplanetary speed-of-light doppler effect. It's too bad that it has such a short range, though.
