Sorry... I have not played pokemon since elementary school, so I may have forgotten something? But what is Kanto region? Also, NPC trainers? |

Kanto is the region of the first game, Red/Blue/FireRed/LeafGreen.
NPC Trainers will be in the game, of course. |

It's a lot of scripting at first, but after I get all the framework added: adding a Pokemon/Move will take ~one minute. |

Err, for this sort of thing you need CRAZY scripting experience... do you know pretty much everything there is to know about Lua? (I don't) |

I don't think it's a lot of scripting experience. Like, if you wanted you could have GUI pokemon battles instead of regular 3D, then that would be scripting. |

Yugioh would be fun to program, but there is just too many thing to account for (plus the AI in that game is really complex) |

Eh, sort of. There's a database of Pokemon, Moves, etc that I just use whenever I need to do. |

The database is also really easy to edit. For example, adding a status move or a stat raising move would take about a minute to do. |
