The Date Laws
Without laws, we are nothing but barbians and savages. Order is the reason why empires are mighty. Organization is why we are deadly. These are the laws I expect followed from you, my people.
NOTE: Each rule has an on duty and off duty attachment to it. Here is what On Duty and Off Duty in Date is.
{On Duty}
When you're at a Date fort/base/province
When you're in Date's uniform (not always)
When you're representing the Date Clan
When you're patroling
When you're generally being a Date
{Off Duty}
When you're out of uniform
When you're at soem victory party (after most sucessful raids)
When you're not in a date base/province/fort
When you're at relaxing date games, such as garden of zen, etc.
When you're not representing Date
Warning: You are not allowed to be "off duty" at any Date province/fort/base during a patrol. If your combrad is patroling and you're tormenting him with off duty things. You will be exiled for this stupidty. Also, failure to follow the rules will result in exile.

1. Always call a high rank "sensei". It shows respect, discipline, and will give you a promotion faster than not saying "sensei."
{On Duty}: Always, you must always say sensei to your superior (especally to Gashira +)
{Off Duty}: You don't always have to call them sensei. If you are relaxing and a high rank demand you call him sensei, it is respectable to do so, but you don't have to.
2. Be mature and strict. No jumping around. Be respectable. You are representing Date's honor and the clan itself. Say “-bow-“ or use the bow tool whenever you meet another member or a high rank of the Date Clan.
{On Duty}: Don't even ask, you should always do this when you're on duty.
{Off Duty}: You can relax, don't worry about the expectations. However, keep your sanity and if a high rank tells you to calm, do so, immediently...
3. Don't EVER spam CAPS unless you are high rank shouting orders to a low rank so that he/she may see. You must speak with the best grammar you can, using capital letters, full stops, etc. This is essential to being a Date member.
{On Duty}: This is all the time, you'll be exiled if this is not followed properly.
{Off Duty}: You don't have to, though I highly recommand you do. When you're relaxing and being yourself, go for it, have fun. But rather I have you practice using grammar, so you won't make a mistake when you're on duty.
4. When you kill someone, DO NOT yell PWNED or OWNED, you look like idiots and noobs if you do this. A date member must NEVER say OWNED, PWNED, FAIL, or something else similar to the demonstrated words. Because of this we look like a professional, well organized, and well trained clan. Breaking this will get you into trouble really quickly.
{On Duty}: Don't you dare break this rule. I don't care how much you want to say pwn or owned back to them, you must never descend into their level.
{Off Duty}: I highly recommand you don't taunt even while off duty. It shows your maturity and intellgence,but nevertheless you are off duty so you are free to do such things if it really bothers you.
5. You must wear the full uniform that matches with your rank, ex: if you are an ashigaru, wear an asihgaru armor. Some ranks will not have their own uniform. By wearing the uniform, you representing the Date Clan. You should be proud of your uniform; it shows that you are a skilled player and that you have earned a place in the Date Clan.
{On Duty}:Always wear the proper uniform while on duty, especally in raids. If you fail to do this simple task, you will be demoted and or exiled.
{Off Duty}: You are allowed to wear any type of clothing you want, you may wear acceptable cloths. Please, keep your sanity with this priviledge.
6. In raids, NEVER surrender, NEVER quit, NEVER be taken prisoner (your honor is at stake you are expected as a Date to reset or kill yourself rather than be taken prisoner. Prisoners will be left for dead), NEVER give up. Keep fighting and fighting until there is no more fighting to fight or until they ban, kick, or crash you. The enemy will grow tired, and they will quit and surrender. They will see your devotion. In fact, if you stay and fight longer than anyone else, it WILL get you a promotion, not immediately; but after a few times you definitely will. Also, you should not go brb/afk on a raid, common sense should tell you why.
{On Duty}: Never break this rule, you are allowed you leave if some IMPORTANT thing is happening in REAL LIFE. Other than that, we need all the soldiers we can amass.
{Off Duty}: While off duty you are not allow to be in the presence of an on duty Date, so you should not be in our battles unless you're on duty.
7. If you are the last Date left on the battlefield and the rest HAD to leave for some VERY important reasons, you are expected to keep fighting. Show our enemies that we do not need numbers to win. Show them your might; show them that each one of us is capable of being a one man army. Now I understand this rule is hard to follow. You don't need to stay at the battlefield, but your devotion to the fight will be noticed and rewarded. If you managed to fight against 10 enemies and actually take over the base, keeping the enemies out all by yourself or defending against 10 raiders; you WILL get a promotion, from a ashigaru to nodachi from samurai to a kensei, etc.
{On Duty}: Now you don't HAVE to follow this, if you are cornered at the spawned and being spawn killed, you are allowed to leave
{Off Duty}: Again, you are now allowed to be in the presence of your Date memeber while off duty.
8. No matter how intense or hard a battle becomes , ALWAYS remember to look up at the chat to see if a Taisho or a Hatamoto is giving an order. Failure to follow orders WILL NOT be tolerated in the Date.
{On Duty}: Always follow this rule, if a soldier is just bashing his way through and doesen't know what to do, we'll get no where. Failure to follow this simple rule will result in demotion.
{Off Duty}: you are not permitted in the presence of an On Duty Date.
9. Act strict, you don't need to yell WOOT or YAYZ or DED or any other sorts of noobish act. I, and your Taisho and Hatamoto, expect you to be like a true samurai, an unstoppable killing machine.
{On Duty}: Act strict, we are a strict samurai clan.
{Off Duty}: You are free to pay no attention to this rule. Just don't get in the presence of an On Duty Date
10. I expect you to be trained in all sorts of fighting, sword fighting, gun fighting, bow fighting, yari fighting, naginata fighting, obby, etc. You should be able to fight with anything or any weapon that you have in your hands. While you are not defending the Date's province or fighting in a raid, you should be training.
{On Duty}: You should be training if not patrolingf or raiding.
{Off Duty}: You should be preparing in any way of fighting
11. Attend as many raids as possible, the more soldiers the better. Not attending important or decisive raids will most likely gives you a demotion UNLESS you are busy with something IMPORTANT in real life.
{On Duty}: Always be present for raids unless you are guarding or busy with other Date related jobs.
{Off Duty} Never raid in the name of the Date.
12. (NOTICE: Do not mind if you are against role playing)
The Date does allow marriage and the raising of families. Whenever we call you out to do a one vs. one duel against the enemy army, you are to proudly represent your full date name [Date (your name)], the clan you represent, and your family. I don't recommend bragging about your wife or kids in trainings, raids, defense, etc. Rather, make it a conversation to pass the time patrolling.
{On Duty}: Be silent about these matters while on duty. I don't recommand bringing your wife while on duty.
{Off Duty}: Sure, do wahtever you want with your family. Heck, even recruit your son into the military. But don't be in the presence of an on duty Date.
13. When we are raiding the enemy, you should never talk so much. Just say "Hai, sensei" to an order given by a Hatamoto of Taisho. Try not to talk out of turn, respect your high ranks, and basically just be mature. Talking in the battlefield will produce getting type killed by the enemy. If you MUST talk then limit all what you must say to short words or sentences and use team chat by pressing % (whatever you need to say). Ignore what the enemy says, "fail" "pwned XD" "Omg, such noobs." They show how untrained, undisciplined, and pathetic they are when they say things like that. You are no better if you reply to it.
Show our enemies that we are the true samurai, and better soldiers than they are. Show them how great the Date Clan is. Do not descend into their level. Do not talk back, just concentrate on following orders and killing each and every single one of them. Then they will know that we do not "fail", we are not "noobs", and that we will slaughter every single one of them until they fear us and begs to surrender.
{On Duty}: Always follow this rule, this defines our organized military. Never forget to follow rules like this.
{Off Duty}: EVEN OFF DUTY you should remain mature, but you're allowed to relax and mess around.
14. Do not wear your own custom made date uniform or body package that distorts your uniform.
{On Duty}: Follow this rule It is important to maintain and function the chain of commands.
{Off Duty}: You should never wear a Date uniform while off duty. This is important to remember.
15. If you are in a server of a Date base or participating in an event and the server gets exploited. LEAVE IMMEDIATELY. The only people who can stay longer is the Hatamoto (and +), who should only remain in the server to command date soldiers to leave the server. Do not shout “OH MY GERB! EXPLOITER!!! RUN AWAY!!!!, that will first cause the exploiter to return, and second will make you look overdramatic. Just leave as soon as possible.
Exception: If the exploiter is speed hacking or changing their health slightly (not god) try to either kill them or crash them.
{On Duty}: Don't expect to win fighting an exploiter, we do this so we won't be blammed for exploting, since people tend to do that in the midst of chaos and confusion. The exploiter only shame themsevles by using his cowardly means. Trust me, once the exploit is patch. The snail will return to the shell he/she crept from. Waiting pitifully for some idiot to leak another exploit.
{Off Duty}: You should get into the habit of leaving once the server is exploited, even while off duty.
16. Only Hatamoto (and +) are allow to form units. Whoever does plan to create units MUST get approval from either a Taisho or me. Units must be very beneficial to the clan, that is because units require a lot of time and manpower. If they are no benefit to the clan, I will disband it.
{On Duty}: Remember, your loyal is to the Date Clan, units must not overcome your main focus. Hatamoto must always get approval before you create a unit.
{Off Duty}: You are allow to join any non-Date clan, Serenity samurai or the Legion, that do NOT clash with whom we are enemies with. Just remember, however, that you have a limited group space and that you should be mostly devoting your time on ROBLOX to the Date Clan.
17. Do not spam the wall with off-topic things. If you really wanted to argue about something between you and your fellow clansmen, then you should talk through PMs or skpe, or xfire, or some other form of communication. I will not tolerate clansmen arguing on the group wall about things that doesn’t even have anything to do with the Date Clan. Sure, you can discuss about things that are not about the Date Clan, just don't get into a brawl over it.
{On Duty}: This apply to you while on duty. Don't get angry over what someone says on the wall. If you find that person offenseive, deal with him calmly and in a controlled manner. Never fight a fellow Date memeber. Because you and him share the same vision I see for my clan. You and him are brothers in arms!
{Off Duty}: The only reason you should use the group wall while off duty is when you're notifiy the other Date on something important, such as declaring when you're going off duty for a while.
18. Hatamotos are to report all crimes to a Taisho or me, (sooner or later I will form a government group for the Date) WITH EVIDENCE. All crimes must be submitted in this format {Date} (Name) {Rank} (Crime) {Evidence}.
19. When you are on duty, do not use immature, silly, or downright childish faces. You are allowed to use serious faces such as "-_-", but even that you must not overuse.
{On Duty}: Punishments will be delivered if you are caught using an immature face.
{Off Duty}: You are free to use all the silly faces you wish while off duty.
20. You must use all the Date vocabulary and, for the samurai rank, you are required to follow the Bushido.
{On Duty}: Try to use the Date vocabulary, and for the samurai rank, try to keep the Bushido. This define our very defination of samurai.
{Off Duty}: You don't have to use date vocabulary, thouhg I recommand for practice. Or keep the bushido, though I recommand for practice.
21. Never exploit (speed hack) (level hack) (rbxaurore) (etc.)
{On Duty}: Exploiting will result in demotion or exiled, I willnot shame the honor of our clan
{Off Duty}: Even off duty, if you are caught you will be exiled.
Following these rules is one way of getting you promoted.
