Add an option to only be able to log on from YOUR PC, that way no one else can access it. Eh? Eh?

3 people already looked over this and said, "Nah..."

Wouldn't be a good idea because: *logs into this computer... *breaks it 5 hours later from too much robloxia... *Gets new computer and tries to log in.... *fail e.e ...So probably not the best, sorry!

...How...

#113198856Monday, September 16, 2013 9:42 PM GMT

It's not actually possible to do, lol.

98% of the internet has those options...
72Tom72
#113199288Monday, September 16, 2013 9:47 PM GMT

No. You have NO idea how the internet works. There is NO actual way for Roblox to know if you're logging on to the same computer or not. Why? Because IP's change more often than you know, and everything that Roblox hosts is hosted on their side and not yours. The only reason why your browser settings are only on your computer is because your computer is the one hosting the browser.

Xat has this option for god's sake...
72Tom72
#113199362Monday, September 16, 2013 9:48 PM GMT

98% of the internet "has these options?" What in the WORLD are you referring to?
72Tom72
#113199525Monday, September 16, 2013 9:49 PM GMT

NO LOL. Xat uses cookies! AND I can DEFINITELY log onto xat from multiple computers.
72Tom72
#113199681Monday, September 16, 2013 9:51 PM GMT

Xat has your account cookie stored in your computer so that it automatically loads with your profile as soon as you access the chat site. HOWEVER, I am MORE THAN ABLE to use the same account information on ANY computer in the world.

#113199770Monday, September 16, 2013 9:52 PM GMT

Guess what - as soon as you clear your browser cookies on the computer you are logged into xat on, you get auto logged out of xat because you no longer have that cookie.

Christ you're stupid, you just proved my point. Besides, it IS possible to do, not for YOU maybe.

#113200006Monday, September 16, 2013 9:54 PM GMT

Don't call me stupid - I can report for that. Also, I study this stuff in college for a living. GUESS WHAT. You proved MY POINT CORRECT! Re-read my posts. Whether or not you have cookies on one computer, I can STILL log onto my xat account WHEREVER I want.

#113200173Monday, September 16, 2013 9:55 PM GMT

In fact, Roblox does store cookies. Ever notice how your account is auto logged in when you open up a browser again after closing it? That's the magic of cookies. But as you know (since you're writing this thread) you can still log onto the same account from ANYWHERE.

ANYONE who shares my basic knowledge of how the internet works is free to back me up. This SHOULD be common knowledge to just about everyone. If "98%" of the internet really did have this "log on on only one computer and one computer ONLY" hacking wouldn't even be a thing.

I really don't care, you offended me first anyways. If you really want to tell someone this crap, tell someone who cares. Otherwise, take your cookies to Sesame street. -GoblarkGobral

"Tell someone who cares" You should care about this basic information - how else is someone going to explain to you that what you proposed simply CANNOT work?

#113200635Monday, September 16, 2013 9:59 PM GMT

Except that I DON'T care. Since you seem to think it's your life goal to make me.

Well excuse me for trying to answer your question. You're going to get the same answer from anyone else anyway.

No, I won't, no one will be the only poster saying, "COOKIES IS THIS" As most others think of cookies as delicious treats.
72Tom72
#113201083Monday, September 16, 2013 10:03 PM GMT

Uh, anyone with basic computer knowledge knows what an internet cookie is. It's fairly fundamental.

How about you need to log on to your mail and type in the code to access it from a new computer like how steam does it.
72Tom72
#113202903Monday, September 16, 2013 10:19 PM GMT

The reason steam works the way it does is because the client is again downloaded to the computer. Roblox works a little bit differently.
