Greetings, Shinobi. This is a guide for those of you who are unfamiliar with the promotion system in the group.
Student - You achieve this rank by joining the group. To get promoted, you must pass through the academy.
Apprentice - You achieve this rank by passing the academy. You are not yet an official shinobi. At this rank a Chunin+ will take you in as an apprentice to teach you the ropes of jobs, assassinations and spying.
Genin - the equivalent of a military private. To achieve this rank both you and your master must agree that you are ready for a promotion. This is an important step as you begin your transition from student to shinobi. You are put into a squad where you must work together with your team mates to complete jobs. This is important because it teaches you how to work well with others and how to deal with stressful situations, which is very important for a future Jonin.
Chunin - the equivalent of a military sergeant. At this rank you are able to take in apprentices and teach them the ropes. To get promoted to this rank you have to be nominated by at least 3 Jonin, including your squad leader. If you get all 3 nominations you are put through an exam by the Grandmaster. The Chunin may take over for their Jonin when he/she is gone.
Jonin - The equivalent of a military captain. At this rank you are allowed to lead your own squad, nominate Genin for Chunin, arrange jobs and arrange assassinations. To achieve this rank you must be nominated by the Shirei-kan Jonin. Once you are nominated you will be put through an exam by the Grandmaster.
Tokubetsu Jonin - Tokubetsu Jonin are Jonin who have achieved a leadership rank in a division, such as the ANBU, royal guards, etc. They are higher than Jonin in the chain of command so they are allowed to give orders to squads as well as assemble raids, but they may not pick new Jonin.
Shinobi Sensei - At the rank of Jonin you are given the choice to become a tutor for the Students. Sensei's have the exact same power as Jonin in the chain of command.
Shirei-kan Jonin - The equivalent of a military colonel. At this rank you begin assembling raids and positions, as well as pick new Jonin. To achieve this rank there must be less than 2 Shirei-kan Jonin, and you must win the election. There may also be elections to have a Shirei-kan Jonin demoted, which can only be held if 2 Jonin request a demotion with a sufficient amount of reasons.
Daimyo - The equivalent of a military General. This rank is given to the Lord of our land. This rank can only be achieved by becoming the Daimyo's successor. |
