just your boring old technical for the sake of being technical death metal. seems like almost every modern tech death band suffers from Necrophagist syndrome |

btbam isn't tech death though, they don't sound very much like necrophagist actually
they're progressive metal/metalcore |

>they don't sound very much like necrophagist actually
necrophagist syndrome isn't sounding like necrophagist, its just being technical/progressive for the sake of being technical/progressive, and the outcome is very boring, like necrophagist |

BTBAM is more prog metal than technical. i know what you're talking about, but this is the wrong band entirely. they do have somewhat of a technical aspect, but their music is very experimental. They're not just trying to write as many complicated riffs as they can. |

BTBAM is one of my most favorite bands currently. I only got into them recently, freaking love the Colors album. I've known how to play Prequel to the Sequel and Obfuscation on drums for a really long time, but never actually got into them until recently. |
