This is my opinion. Try to take it seriously, but not too seriously. I think free models influence the games. Have you ever seen one thing in five different games? And there are thousands of those games, but they only last a day on the games page. I have a few examples: The Street Racing Unleashed Free Model -Half-Detailed sports cars. -Driving around earns money -Houses you can buy The Deadzone Copy Model -Spammed Deadzone buildings and trees floating in random spots around the map -Exactly the same scripts as Deadzone -Spawn with knife that kills in three to two hits -Overpowered weapons ChatVoice -Detects certain items in player/server chat -Says related audio tracks -Well scripted AI "Crappy Regenerating Zombie" -Takes five minutes to kill -Walks way faster than player model -Takes twenty hits with any gun to kill You see what I mean? A lot of people don't care anymore, but I do. -Sully

Saying a game is "Free-model" is an expression; a form of opinion to be clear. And I only say this because I come across some really cool realms and nicely detailed surroundings, but the last thing I want to hear is someone say, "Wow, this game used a ton of free-models. What a waste of my time." Free-models exist, most of the time to give the creator some inspiration. They don't exactly have to use the whole concept on that model in their game to make it look better. There are always room for improvements, but really they're just there to help the creator make better creations.

I support, but it shouldn't be used to make an entire game or something like that.

@Bv Well, I've seen some people talk about my game that way. It's hard to tell if someone's using one free model in their entire place. What I mean is the entire game is literally either copied from another, full of free models, or just the idea for one game used in another almost exactly. Clear?

How to make a free model free place: 1. Create a new game. 2 Delete everything in the game. 3. Done.

Free models are used to teach building and scripting, young 2012er. Not all free models are horrible.

@sullybush3 Again, that's still very subjective to the situation. If I stole a model from you for example, would you know? Can you tell, or it's what you highly believe it is, when there could be a thousands more models like this. I'm not saying your wrong on your word. I just think we're misinterpreting the purpose of playing games; to have fun. We don't need to point out every living model in the game and unfairly judge the creator for it. He/she may not have deserved this sign of popularity on ROBLOX, but it's also not their fault if the game ends up becoming a success on the front page either.

1) Well, free models can be used in situations where you're just adding something small that isn't worth making yourself. 2) Admin command scripts are very complex and most players do not have the scripting experience to make them, however they are very helpful and fun 3) You said it yourself. Freemodel games just rack up downvotes and last a day.

Who the hell really thinks free models are terrible? They make barely any difference to a game. Sonic got so much hate on Roblox because the haters were really just dumb preschool kids.

I guess I just gathered a crowd of people who use free models like crap. Here's an example in IRL: Oh, It's totally fine to take money from a bank and buy a Ferrari with it. Here's another example: My friend has this really sick guitar, so I'm going to steal it and say I bought it myself. Also, you can transport Roblox Model Files into Skype and send them to a recipient. I've done it before. OD'ers Free models are copying! Here are some suggestions for fixes: Get rid of free models entirely and let users attach a model to their message. Keep free models, but only allow BC members with an E-Mail to use and publish them. Add a copyright system to Roblox (not probable) None of these are going to happen because ROBLOX Corp. is too lazy to just get up and fix their website!

I'm not sure you guys are getting what I'm saying. Sure, you can take a day/night cycle script from free models and put it into your place, but do you feel like you accomplished something? No. Do you feel cleansed? No. Do you feel like you just cheated on someone? Yeah.

Free models turned me into the average 9 year old at scripting, and building, to someone extremely advanced for my age, 10, and free models also encouraged me to make better models, and publish them to the other 9 year olds trying to learn. Free models started my career on ROBLOX, at a young age, and now at ten I script lua, build, cframe, and even retexture. So deleteing them would ruin many opportunities for people of...ANY age to begin to understand the format, and eventually create their own code. So, removing it would be terrible to the kids out there who can't watch YT, curious about scripting and game development. I do see the problem with not giving credit and saying everything is your own, I dislike that, I gave credit when I used to use free models. Don't agree with me? Reply back to me via PM.

Not necessary at all. Sure it ruins games, but free models are good learning tools for begginners. And if a free model game comes along, it wont get popular. If it does, you can thumb down it down and not play it if you want. So why remove them?

NO SUPPORT. Without Free Models We wouldn't know how to script. A lot of great game developers know how to script by LOOKING at people's scripts. Without Scripting we wouldn't have great developers due to the fact that they can not know how to SCRIPT. Without Free Models we wouldn't have admin in our places. Is that good? NO. We would just do scripting lessons on YouTube and how to function them. Right now I am learning basic LUA programming. With Free Models I can understand how they can work. So we need free models.
