This is a question relating to Minnesota, i have a friend that is by herself at home for a few days and i want to know if someone breaks into her house can she legally shoot and or kill them?

If they are armed, yes or in self defense.(aka they have to actually attack her or be armed)

@tgross i know that, i feel they know more about law here than anyone. @obby Thats what i was thinking but i know every state has different laws for it. @danny I need a more exact answer, i dont want to tell her she can and come to find out she legally cant.

they have to be a threat no you cannot fire upon another human if they enter your home and do nothing yes you can open fire if the said human is a threat aka attacking you

"Everyone in Minnesota is too much of a bird to do anything, so don't worry about it." There's been recent reports of someone driving around in a car, getting out and killing people on the sidewalk And also, my mom's really expensive Mercedes was stolen 2 years ago straight out of out garage, they broke right in ~Proud Minnesotan~
