Why use 10-100 bricks just to make a beautiful arc? Im thinking that ROBLOX should add a feature where you are able to bend bricks in many ways, like twirls or something.
This should be accessed by either another tool, where the other 3 tools are (drag, resize, move). Or just hold a certain hotkey (shift, alt, Lctrl, etc) while the resize tool is selected. If you have already bent a part, and resize a certain end, it will just resize straight. Completely bent parts wont be able to be resized, it will just disable the non-resizable side, same thing like truss parts, they are only able to resize vertically (unless tilted horizontally or made the part small enough to resize all directions).
This could change the way of building in many ways, like better detailed cars around the edges, much much much less bricks making rounded curves, be able to build very difficult and detailed things, etc.
If you have any questions please comment below, please show support and share your opinion :)... |

I can see this causing issues. Since bricks are essentially solid hitboxes, the feature would likely throw the engine a curve-ball. No pun intended.
I'm not an IT guy, or any kind of game designer, so it's plausible that I'm wrong. But if I'm right, you'd need some way to work around this problem. Once that's solved, I don't really see anything wrong.

your kinda right with the brick part, but what about editible meshes? Should add a new mesh called "BendMesh", and while you have the mesh itself selected, and its in a brick, it will allow you to resize/bend the mesh, and the brick is automated so it is the size perfect to the size of the mesh (basically you will see an outline that fully goes around the mesh like usualy). That could solve the problem :P, that way you could technically still resize the brick...
Tell me what you think of this, thanks! |

Amazing, CFraming is annoying sometimes and I really don't want to use Negative Parts and Unions to make curves because of the limit. Support! |

Although this is an old idea, I still think it is a good one. I've been waiting for the day parts could be bent, dented, cut, etc.
I hope it is soon. |
