As a fair warning to all who read this, this is going to be a long post and we’re not going to bother putting down a TL;DR; if you don’t want to read it, that’s fine by us. Not everyone will agree with this - we don’t expect them to; we don’t expect this to go without argument and controversy, but that’s okay, considering that is all this war has been. We might as well end this spat with the conflict that has kept it going.
We are declaring victory; we are declaring this because we stand by the fact that we have stuck to the war terms as closely as possible - it’s something that we’ve shown true endurance for. In this, we have multiple points that can reinforce this claim; points including the amount of victories in more than one manner, the number of horrendous updates put into Swampy Moon Outpost, the endless list of war term breaches, and a long compilation of things that can be put forward to the Vaktovians, yet cannot be reversed onto us. The fact of the matter is that this war was based on endurance, and it has been proven time and time again, through toil and hardship, that we have stood undaunted, unfazed, at the Vaktovian menace. A war not dictated by raid wins, by raw skill, nor by how one-sided a faction can make their base - this was was created under the purpose to show which clan stood firmer to the values placed down at the beginning of the war, to show which clan was truly the superior. After watching these values be trampled underfoot and abused and batted aside by our adversaries at every turn and corner, we no longer see a point to play such a childish affair. If proof is what will be demanded upon reading this, despite the blatant evidence posted upon the forums and put forward from the bases daily, we begin from the start of these events.
At the earliest days of the war, Vaktovia had placed herself into hibernation to ‘recuperate’ and to ‘begin training’; they had asked that we permit them until the following Monday to implement an update to SMO consisting of RCL guns, since Stroudie’s technology had been found unacceptable and intolerable to them. However, this had not been the sole update - following, were also the bolstering of required Vaktovians at a server from three to five, the timer required to achieve victory being doubled in length, and the revoking of their previously roll-back timer. Then, despite this, as our victories swelled in number, they had developed a new tactic so as to deter us; retreating. Proof on their private forum board, the Maelstrom, and then their own members’ consents and evidence, depicted their highest ranks - including Generals and Colonels, mind this - ordering ‘official’ Vaktovian members to ignore servers and to instead, fill the servers with Vaktovian Ascension Core so as to prevent the possibility of loss. Our constant victories dwindled, reducing from the twenty-six in the first weeks to two victories over the course of the following four weeks. Didn’t we agree to show ‘endurance’ and fight to the bitter end?
Now, this is around when school came about - both clans took excessive hits to activity - which, had been brought forth as an explanation to the lack of attendance/dedication to remain at the raids on SMO, by the way. We understood that school doesn’t exactly reflect interests, and it puts a real damper on activity - and yet, as we attempted to continue the war effort… their technological department was forever busy. So much so, that update after update hit SMO in succession - we went from having a good route into the base that took little to no time, a stack-supporting wall, camouflage, acceptable strategies to repel the defenders, and more, to a much different, more defender-favoring SMO. Dynamic lighting was removed, and the base was lit up from head to toe like a festive holiday tree, with expanded hallways permitting thicker, larger layers of defense, an extended hangar to rain lead down on nearly every raiding force’s point of entry, with walls that could no longer be scaled by team effort, and topped it off with a Vaktovian entry-point placed directly next to their spawns. But wait, there’s more! Then, there are color-changing scripts to alter ‘undesirable’ body colors, an overwatch placed in the Vaktovian course to thoroughly trap all raider spawn-points, and multiple points of ambush and cloak-and-dagger were abolished.
Now, the Grand Imperium has been lenient on this - we swallowed our complaints as these updates were first introduced to an extent, and kept quiet; perhaps they would sort themselves out and cease eventually, right? Wrong. The updates poured out one right after another, after each Arcadian victory, to “fix” something or to “balance” another area - but they couldn’t just release the updates all at once, due to the war terms they “followed so avidly.” The terms were further stretched as they countered our tactics time and time again with technology, rather than tactics of their own - including scripts specifically designated to knock our Frost Clan-related members out of the fighting, despite the deals and confirmations with ProEvil123 and the Vaktovian Emperor himself, Vaktus, to permit Frost Clan to enter the fray as Arcadians, and not Frost Clan - and yet, to this very moment, Frost Clan is still banned from setting foot exclusively in SMO. Now, didn’t the Vaktovians have a problem with fighting Frost Clan a few months ago? Oh, right - that’s irrelevant.
And what has the Grand Imperium done in response to these updates, when the inevitable ‘updates of our own’ are brought into question - despite the lack of nearly any updates thereof? The return of the raider spawn’s elevated terrain over the rest of the map to prevent them being spawn-trapped, and then much later an update to prevent Arcadians from being spawn-trapped, the removal of Tier 2 weaponry as a whole, a set of additional routes and entry-points into the base and to sneak through to avoid being shot on both sides, an increase of Arcadians required to match their terminal, areas to control to stem the flow of hostile troops, and attempts to fix the bomb that has remained altogether entirely unchanged in terms of capturing and defusing it.
Despite these blatant imbalances that we have stuck through and persevered through, we have kept the score from spiraling out of control, and it currently differs by less than ten in official raid counters. We have occupied SMO for hours on end, and sat through the obnoxious updates in hopes that one would perhaps actually balance the war, or perhaps discussions would begin to make the war less toxic and more enjoyable - but all of our demonstrations, discussions, and disputes have been ignored up to the point where multiple groups of their members agree wholeheartedly with us, and are discontented themselves. It can’t be blamed that the Vaktovians supposed that such a tactic would work on us, but… they are sorely mistaken.
One of the terms of this conflict was for this to be an honorable war - and, despite how arrogant this sounds - who has honestly been more honorable in this war? The faction that has done little but update their base after every loss, that has had a forum board based solely around claiming that they are the better group and discussing how vicious our members are - and tactics to dealing with Arcadian members in specifics, mind this - and have thrown any and all gentlemen’s agreements straight out the window, and have utilized their Ascension Core - whom, by their Emperor’s own words, by the way, are not even considered as members of the Vaktovian Empire nor true Vaktovians - to be the meat shield and sole workforce in nearly every activity so that they would not suffer losses? The ones who have admitted their main group has nearly dropped dead in activity many times? Or the group that has stuck through everything and maintained our composure - as best we could control - and still followed the terms that had been originally agreed upon as best we could despite the blatant abuse we have suffered at the hands of our “honorable” enemies? And yes, there have been accounts where Arcadians have decided to “do as the enemy does” and “fight fire with fire,” but have we condoned it? Have we tolerated it in the extent that Vaktovia has? Have we blatantly given the order from our highest ranks to retreat, hide, and rely solely on our Guardsmen? Have we not EXILED our members for insubordination and mutiny at nearly every occurrence of this?
Instead of the desired war - a competent war in which both clans could have a good slugging match like it was agreed upon, where both factions’ members could have fun and enjoy themselves, we have had to stomach the exact opposite. We have been handed the ability at many points to call war term breaches, and we have made numerous attempts to right the wrongs of the war on both sides via meeting or compromise, and have stuck through even blatant mutiny, betrayal, and defection by our own members, and yet we remain standing and we have remained steadfast in how dedicated we have been to this farce of a war.
This is a war of endurance, and we have remained almost excessively consistent in every aspect of it - our drive, our base, our motivation; very little has changed, and very few of us have had the nerve to give up. Where are the Vaktovians? They “have beaten us” by official raid wins now, but what of the raid victories in general? What of the fifty or more confirmed retreats and indisputable moral and agreement-breaching victories that we have documented? What of the dedication we have shown to remaining steadfast, remaining united, and remaining Arcadian? What of the unchanged morals and guidelines we have stuck behind every moment of the struggle?
This is a victory for us; to reinforce this fact, a certain friend of ours will be delivering a pinch to those who request it.
The Vaktovians, as per expected, will most likely call this a victory of their own or try and dispute ours - however, we will not accept this. We have fought this war as honorably, as fair, as leniently, and as valiantly as we possibly can against the constantly-increasing odds against us - in sum, we have shown indisputably that we have prevailed.
HOWEVER, we leave one final statement - Vaktovians, those of you that cannot tolerate the finality of this, we offer you a final opportunity; a final test of strength. With the request sent to the ROBLOX Clan League, we are formally open to a nine-versus-nine at Bricktops; RCL, with the Arcadian Gladiators versus your second-generation Champions. Contemplate this, mull it over - it’s a completely even battlefield hosted by a completely neutral third party.
All-in-all, thank you for the war, and thank you for helping us reflect and learn a lot about ourselves. It has been an interesting turn of events, and we won’t forget them by any means.
With best regards,
The Arcadian Officers, the Arcadian High-Command, and Arcadian Emperor, Castellian.
