It is the far future. A future when humanity has explored into sevral galaxies and come in contact with new life. There are various faction who send thier troops to battle other factions and races that are hostile to them. You are a soldier of one of the factions. Will you raise in rank and be remembered by your valliant fights for your faction and have your enemies fear you when you step onto the battle field? Or will you stay a lower rank and not be remembered at all.
There are three main types of units. They are: Infantry, Vehicles and Battlemechs (also called 'Mechs or just Mechs.)
In each type of unit is a few sub catagories. For Vehicles there are Tanks, VTOLS, Transports, AA (anti aircraft), Fire support, Artillery and Repair.
In 'Mechs there are Light, Heavy, Assault, Collossal, Quad and MEdium Mechs.
In Infantry there are Battle Suit, Standard, Turret/Gun Nest and Scout.
The current factions are: Banson's Raiders, Drangon's Fury, Highlanders, House Davion, House Liao, House Steiner, Jade FAlcon, Sea Fox, Spirit Cats, Steel Wolves, Stormhammers, Swordsworn and Republic of the Sphere.
There are Alliances for pairs of factions. THe current Alliances are:Republic of the SPhere and Highlanders. House Davion and Swordsworn. House steiner and Stormhammers. Sea Fox and Steel Wolves,House Liao and Dragon's Fury. And lastly, Banson's Raiders and Spirit Cats.
Each 'Mech has battle gear, but only my friends will start with gear. Also only my friends and the people I trust can have Collosal mechs, if desired.
You can aslo be a mercenary. A merc is factionless and gets paid by a faction to perform missions for them.
There are three main types of wepons, Energy, Melee and Balistic. Only mechs and Infantry can use Melee. Energy attacks are very weak against Infantry, but effective against Vehicles and very effective against mechs. Ballistic is good against any unit type, really.
