Do you know just how complicated moderation is, Vintage?
And by complicated, I mean how... tiring... it is.
Let's say 1000 reports get made every hour.
(The actual average is probably larger, I'd estimate about 3000.)
Okay. So, 1000 reports every hour. Simple.
Let's say to do each report, you need about 20 seconds.
You can clear 1000 20-second reports in 16 minutes, according to my maths.
That's nice.
Clearly it takes longer. .-.
Decals and REALLY LONG forum posts take quite more time, and thus woo.
What would happen if you could add 2 minute clips to that process any second you want? Yet alone seven minutes, TWO minutes.
All you need is THIRTY of those clips to take an hour to moderate, and that's only if you moderate it once, I'm sure they'll moderate it twice, so That's fifteen.
Fifteen 2 minute clips is all it takes to make an hour, and they're definitely going to get more than 15 of those clips per hour- there's six million accounts on roblox last time I checked, and that was a year ago. And yes, quite a few have left, but there's still at least A million people, and of that fraction more than 15 people are going to make a sound. I'd estimate a few hundred per hour with your version of the idea.
So a few hundred 2 minute clips that take between 2 to four minutes to moderate.
And yes, maybe they'll not use all that 2 minutes. But it's either going to be 2 minutes of music or a few seconds of background clips.
But do you want to know the real reason I feel this is all a problem?
Decals take a day to upload last time I checked.
You need to add some way of stopping the system from overloading with submissions.
Just state that you can only have three 15 second sound clips per week, and one 3 minute sound clip per week. That should fix it. |
