I thought you said Price Floor was the worst rant. Oh well, I don't even know what's worse. I handled BC Games worse than the Price Floor, that I know. But then again, I handled everything worse back then.
I'm fine with the WNTS existing if that's what you want me to clear up, I'm just not fine with forcing it. They just need a new thread addressing the real problem.
On one website, an admin made a pinned thread about destructive criticism, gave out examples, and encouraged the moderators to delete those posts. The best part about it was that people apologized on that thread. I even learned a thing or two from the people who pitched in and posted their experiences of negative posts, or asked if what they're saying is constructive yet, and they received feedback in return.
I think Roblox should do something like that. Both about creating constructive topics, and making constructive posts, and warning strongly about destructive posts, that they will be deleted. This includes pointlessly calling out: "WNTS!" |

The BC only games rant was just a swathe of death threats and general imbecilia.
The price floor rant flooded S&I.

Well, if it was stronger and more violent, then I suppose BC Games was worse. Unless the violence was overlooked. I didn't see the death threats back then, nor did I see any on the Price Floor.
Anyway... Yay, I'm glad we have an agreement!

Not as many people played in 2011 as they do now. If BC games came out today, and was distracting to look at, I think the numbers would be about as bad as the Price Floor.
As for the violence, I think that came from the way the admins communicated with the players in those years. There was a huge rage going on, and the only reply we got was from one admin, and it felt just as ignorant as everyone else.
Plus this quote doesn't help anyone... "It's my game, and I do what I want."
It has been said since late 2007.
Take note this was also before BloxCon, and BloxCast, so our knowledge of the team was lacking. Also, after BC Games came out, the blog posts were mostly about Gears and Hats. Nothing about encouraging constructive criticism when it was most needed. I think that set them off too.
At least for the Price Floor, the admins were more willing to take action more quickly before the community concluded that they only listen to themselves. |

Almost perfectly even, because honestly, how can you get 25R$ quickly without paying?
That particular rant didn't get even close to the amount of hatred (or size) of the BC only games rant, yet they're essentially the same, but one got less attention.
...Forgive my skeptisism there.
You are right, but it just feels... odd.
Perhaps it was because Paid Access wasn't litterally BC only games.

Yeah, and I'm quite alright with Paid Access games. Some are just beta access games anyway, and better yet, they aren't distracting like BC Only games used to be. I think that's what bugged me the most. They were treating BC Only games like the spotlight of Roblox, and placed on top of the games page for everyone to see.
Now it's the opposite. BC Games are at the very bottom now.
Also, at least for Paid Access games, you have a choice to pay real money, or use patience. I see comments saying: "I almost have the money to pay for this!"
Gives players something to look forward to, and those who prefer to buy games faster, no one is stopping them also. |
