I have noticed many people posting off topic threads, and others complaining about how the "mods never listen."
I suggest two ways to address this issue. The first is to decrease off topic posts, and ones that are non-constructive complaints. A pinned post would take care of that, making clear that posting off topic threads and simply complaining only makes the job of the mods harder. It should include that these complaint threads ruin it for everyone else. By posting complaints and OT threads, mods who actually take the time to read this forum have to sort through these threads to find legitimate ones.
The second is to devote a moderator to this forum. MasterChiefAlpha, who left in May of 2013, previously filled this role. However, Roblox has devoted no mod to this forum since his departure. MCA was appreciated by people on this forum, and many people got replies to their ideas from him. It may seem insignificant, but if you know someone is going to listen and consider your idea, wouldn't you be more likely to post it?
Devoting a mod to this forum would encourage people to post their ideas and foster the promotion of new and potentially game changing ideas.
To summarize, making a pinned post discouraging off topic posts and devoting a mod to this forum would improve it greatly.
Do you support the ideas in this post? Great!
Don't support? Please give your reasons.
Thank you for reading, and please take the time to reply. |

The sticky post at the top of this forum says, "To start off, we think you deserve a lot more staff interaction here on the Suggestions & Ideas forum. In the coming months you can expect to see many more staff posts and responses, and more updates on features under development."
ChiefJustus, the poster of the thread, is right about the first part. More mods should be in this forum. Roblox hasn't followed through with the second part, though. That was posted a year ago, and since MCA left, I haven't seen any mods in this forum.

I've seen a couple mods, but they didn't reply with anything useful. This needs to happen. |

I'll say this, you guys have such a crazy penchant for generating thoughtful conversation in this section that it's sometimes hard to make a unique contribution. I find myself getting pretty far down the thread and saying "Yeah, they've hit all the high points, pretty much."
Being on the employee side of things definitely gives the Moderators a bit of perspective (and responsibility) that might be a little outside of what the players might have, so there's that. I don't think it's a surprise that all of you are the driving force of ROBLOX, and particularly this forum section.
So big ups to all of you for that. And keep on posting. |

hi |

Xerolayne, thanks for replying to my thread!
How much of your time do you devote to this forum? I feel that if there is a single, dedicated moderator on this forum, ideas would be communicated from players to mods more effectively. |

|
please reply to this thread
thanks |

I would like if you were a mod. Clearly you wouldn't take advantage of it, and you would definitely reply to posts that need replied to reasonably and fully.
Keep up your positive attitude and you might get invited to be a moderator someday. I'm hoping that you do! |

You need to be 18. And to work at Roblox, generally you need to have experience coding or with computer science.
While I could get the necessary qualifications with a lot of effort, working at Roblox isn't really what I have in mind.
That being said, I'm happy to suggest ideas that will improve Roblox. |

@Xerolayne
I think you may have missed the suggestion in this post. I am suggesting 2 ways to increase moderator activity in this forum.
You very clearly praised this community for its ability to come up with good ideas. However, I suggested in this post 2 ways to get more mods to reply to posts in S&I.
Having a moderator post on your thread is helpful because the person who replies is a person of authority whose post is credible and realistic.
Even if all the major points have been hit already, a mod's reply to your thread encourages you to post more of your ideas, because you know someone is listening. |

I would like some high profile admin or mod to show up and start moderating, It would attract people to this forum and then we would have more great ideas then ever. |

No, just the ones I feel should be bumped.
How to get mods to actually reply to threads:

Apparently only one mod had the time to patronize one thread. When was the last time an S&I post was implemented? |
