Can someone actually hack accounts?!

I was in a server, and some dude said he would hack me. I have known him for a while. Shortly after he told me he was gonna hack me, he told me my real name. O.O Is it actually possible for people to do this?! Help!!

The only way you can actually successfully hack someone is through a third-party source. As long as you're not stupid enough to fall for any of the tricks, you'll be fine. These include adding someone on Skype and accepting a file that contains malware, etc.
