Yeah but as far as I see it, if you are a respectful person, and you see that in your friend's profile, you wouldn't ask them anyway. I guess you're like me. All the stuff I have in my profile applies to everyone. I may help my friends out here and there but if I take away one of my rules or make a specific rule for friends I will have someone messaging me all day, and I can't have that. I've already experienced this and cannot have someone suck up all my time when they could learn on their own.

In my opinion, it would still be better to help the friend out in a situation like this, instead of ignoring it and leaving them stranded. A few friends are still ignoring that quoted sentence and due to my nature, I have a harder time refusing (if asked politely enough), so it is practically invalidated at this point.

As you would, I will help a friend as well, but not if they can do it themselves. I made the exception in the past and one of my friends bombarded me with beginner-level questions, and would not understand lookVector, no matter what I told him, or what links I posted. After he figured it out he stated that he thought it was more complex than it was which was why he did not understand it. The next day he was back with more questions. Long story short: My skype status was set to invisible for a while. Anyhow, I will and have helped friends in the past, and I do not expect them to learn Lua if they need to complete a simple task. I will not help people learn unless it's something particularly tricky and I will not create something if it is too large scale. That's fair enough if you ask me.
