Sinister is by far my favorite. I also liked Contracted, not because it was scary, but because it made me think.

I would rather say the new Carrie is. It might not be the scary movie you're thinking, but it lives up to the R rating and it's rather more disturbing, brutal, and violent than the 1970s one and even the 2002 one, IMO. Anyways: 1: The Conjuring (best horror movie I've seen so far) 2: Sinster (that one scene with the lawnmower scare the life out of me) 3: Insidious 2 (thanks to the audience almost giving me a heart attack in the theaters) 4: Chronicle (it's actually sci-fi but you need to watch the second half) 5: Stoker (rather an eerie and more creepy story a than scary movie)

i disagree. honestly i think most of those movies are just gore and gross out, nothing scary. especially the remake of Halloween II.

Heres the reasons why i pick these movies. 1.Texas Chainsaw(Hes creepy,and best movie i saw.. 2.Halloween 2 Remake(Michael Myers is more vicious in the movie) 3.I Know what you did last summer(It Was best scary movie for 3 months). 4.1000 House of Crospects(too hard to explain, the girl ends up with all the killers in the end O_O! 5.Replacing Chucky with Dead Silence(HE PULLS YOUR TOUNGE OUT WHEN YOU SCREAM O_O!! 6.Bride Of Chucky(Funny af).
