I am looking to start some coding and want to know what a good one to start on is. Also, are there some good sites to learn them on?

And that double post glitch o3o Side note: funny how Scratch is a self proclaimed programming language, when it is a simple drag and drop interface.

scratch IS a programming language, albeit a very highly expressive one, but still a language. also op, depends on what you want to get into. web development, application development?

Scratch is as much a language as sign language. Personally I dislike graphical languages as they are typically designed for young children. I recommend C or VB

VB is an OK starting language since it allows you to create the graphical tools instead of programming them. This allows for the beginner to learn about graphical display without actually having to take the time to type it all out.

if the op can use rbx.lua to create the guis they want for their roblox games, then i'd say skip VB for now. i think java/c# would be good. probably not c++.

@Trioxide HECK NAU Seriously though, C# is great. You can use it for a lot of application development. Get Visual Studio 2012 for free (Express) and start programming! (Avoid Visual Basic, it is really ugly)

Lua is a good one to start on. When you master it, go to C++. Or just simply go straight to C++..
