ROBLOX - A safe kids game or not?

Hello guys. This is a important thread for all of you to read. It will probably affect everyone here on the forums and get mad at me, but its ok, I don't mind. Is ROBLOX a safe kids game, or is it not? Let's find out. 1. Name Calling - Kids on this game are repeatedly considered an "ODer". This isn't fair. What if I called you an ODer because you wear what you like? How would that make you feel? 2. The Games - Ok, so the games are mostly misleading and has fake thumbnails and has no actual pictures of gameplay. One thing is, I know you probably like gun games like Deadzone, Battlefield, and other things like that on ROBLOX. But imagine a 4 year old getting on those gun games and his mom catches him playing it and he gets grounded. This truely isn't fair. 3. The chat - Kids can wonder around the chat and see people cursing because of the glitch on the notepad program where you press ctrl + backspace and it will form into a [] symbol, and when pasted into bad words it will appear with the [] in the middle of each word. Pasting the bad word in game will cause the []s to become invisible, allowing the player to curse. The child will tell his parents about it and once again, the child will not be able to play ROBLOX anymore. Thank you for reading. Post what you think about this thread below.

Kids call people names in real life, kids are the ones making these fake games, kids play gun games like CoD all the time already, and they already cuss. Are you homeschooled? Every Cookie Needs Milk :3

I would say it is safe, just as safe as anything in real life is. A lot of these things will happen no matter how much we try to stop them. But its not just ROBLOX that it happens, its everywhere. I agree, we ought to stop things that are obviously negatively impacting ROBLOX users, but we can't remove everything just because we don't like it. The games, for instance, can't just be removed. Sure, they can be misleading, but they aren't unhealthy and no one has to play them. As for breaking the filter, you should report those players. We obviously don't want that and are trying to do our best to removed that. We need the community to do its part though, and report those users. Hope this helps clear some tings up.

I don't think any of those things make ROBLOX unsafe. It's probably one of the safest games out there.

No game is perfectly safe. ROBLOX is safe, but it's filters are heavily flawed and easy for users to bypass.

Thank you guys who are supporting me, Slingshot just said the truth right there. But I think this game should be more secure, for instance, allow us to set our games to 13+ only to keep kids away from the gun games and games with violence.
