I think the WNTS has a became a Forum Weapon thing. It removes mostly all the things we want, and is used wrongly. Example:
Bob writes: I hate the pricefloors, they are annoying.
John replies back: This is WNTS.
See? Everything is what not to suggest. All the problems are WNTS, like ODing, hacking, scamming, pricefloors, everything. It removes ideas of users that are highly agreed with. Example:
Bob writes: STOP THE ODING, ITS ANNOYING AND INNAPROPRITE!
550 people reply: Support
ROBLOX Mods notice the threads, and say: This is WNTS.
This just shows ROBLOX will not do what people say. For Example, Malvus' Forum against Pricefloors. They read it, and decrease it by 200, making us wait 10 days.
So, what I mean is not to remove Pricefloors (but possibly) but to reduce the OP-ness of the WNTS. If you support, support. If you don't, please reply why. Thanks! |

We post WNTS because ROBLOX will not insert this and we don't want it to be spammed. |

No, the WNTS is good. Because OP hates price floor (obviously), he wants toremove it. LOL
You impatient people... |

It is annoying when people just spam "WNTS" everywhere. |
|

I agree that spamming "WNTS" is annoying.
But, it is useful, because there's not as much "lol remove bc plz" threads. |

@game
I hate pricefloors, get over it.
@cool
That's the problem. Its annoying, but again useful. |

The WNTS is very important. It tells people what Roblox is not going to change because they have been suggested too much already.
If you don't like the WNTS, well tough. It serves a purpose.
Want to know why "WNTS" is spammed? Because people just like you ignore it, and the rest of us find it extremely annoying.

I was the person who suggested the WNTS-
Well, reinstated it. Same thing in the end >:U
So allow me to explain some things.
First of all, the WNTS is a guideline, not a rule. It basically a gentleman's agreement saying "If you post anything on this WNTS, you're wasting your time because the developers won't listen to you."
Not everything is on the WNTS either- very few things are. Everything that is incredibly oversuggested to the point that posting about it does nothing because they already know, OR things that outright aren't going to be allowed. It's basically a purifier; bad/oversuggested updates are removed, allowing more original ones on the front page. If you can't think of something that's not on the WNTS, then there's no nice way of putting this... You're an idiot.
Purification is a pretty decent way to describe the WNTS as well.
Let's have a look at your two example suggestions:
"Bob writes: I hate the pricefloors, they are annoying." (1)
"Bob writes: STOP THE ODING, ITS ANNOYING AND INNAPROPRITE!" (2)
These ideas are actually pretty terrible suggestions, based on the fact that they aren't constructive.
HOW do we stop ODing?
WHY is the pricefloor bad?
Those suggestions don't explain how, and are thus irrelivant.
If you said "Stop ODing via X" or "Improve the pricefloor via Y" then roblox could actually use that and take the suggestion into account. This is why saying to "FIX ALL THE PROBLEMS EVER" are in the WNTS; because they need specifics, like how.
Your suggestion falls into the same trap:
"So, what I mean is not to remove Pricefloors (but possibly) but to reduce the OP-ness of the WNTS."
HOW do we reduce the "OP-ness" of the WNTS?
Hmm?
And finally,
Roblox will not do what people want; that's not the point of S&I or the WNTS and never has been and never will be. The point of the WNTS is to suggest ways to improve/replace certain features; the community having what they want is merely a by-product of that and not the main goal.
Did that help?
PS: In 2011 and 2012, there was no WNTS. There was in 2010, though. And trust me, you do NOT want to see a WNTS-less S&I, OP or otherwise. That WNTS was pretty vital to the functioning of the forum, tbh. |
