It would be nice if users could trade items that are not for sale anymore. Since nobody can buy them, it would be good if you could trade other users Limiteds for them.

No support. Items wouldn't have any definable value. With limiteds there is a page of people willing to sell them for money, this gives people an idea of what the limited it worth in the mind of those who have it. With offsale items there's nothing to indicate the value of it, since you don't know how many are willing to trade the item, and what price people are happy with. Sure, you could "trade it" at the price that it went offsale at, but it wouldn't take into account its rarity or the opinions of other traders with the item.
