Hard rock: Jimmi Hendrix and GNR is Southern Rock btw even though they suck. So fail! Southern Rock: Lamb of god Metal: Iron Maiden (Slipknot is definitly not Metal! Its just a response to mushroomhead and its teen rebellian not Satanism!) Classic Rock: The Who (Even though they are first wave british punk. Grrr! I hate your classification!)

In my thread deciding the bands to be in the voting I let other people pick the bands to go in each section. The were aloud to suggest other genres also. Guns N' Roses are hard Rock. You can't argue that.

Twigs180, GN'R isn't southern rock. Though they do have some songs that are more southern oriented, most of their material is hard rock. Jimi Hendrix isn't southern rock either (I don't know how you came up with that one), Lamb of God is groove metal/metalcore, Slipknot is nu-metal, and though the Who had some punk oriented songs, their material varies greatly and they are best catagorized as classic rock.

I didnt put Jimmi as Southern. But I am still saying that GNR is southern metal and they shouldnt be considered the best of Hard Rock. Look at there new album for Christs sake! Its terrible. Axel Rose sounds terrible. The guitar...meh...Slipknot doesnt derserve to have the word Metal in Nu Metal. And yes, the Who were first wave punk which wasnt considered punk. They took on the british government which is considered punk. And I could of swore I saw an interview with Lamb of God where they admitted they were Southern Metal.
