the reason i suggest this is because it would make things a lot more realistic.
such as if you set the temperature to 0 degrees celsius, or 32 fahrenheit, the terrain water would freeze. and if you wanted to set it to make 80 degrees F, some gears would melt, like maybe a popsicle or ice cream cone?
and you can also control the temperature of your game and weather. lets say at 00:00 you want the temperature to be 50F and you can program the temperature hour by hour. it wouldn't be through script and it wouldn't be hard to use.
weather wise, since we already have fog, things like mist, snow and rain should be added.
yes i know you can do this with fancy scripting, but i suggest this so that everyone can enjoy it without having to use a fancy schmancy script. |

Support. Also make it HD 1080P or 4K Quality. |

i also forgot to tack this on: seasons
games could be so much more detailed with things like seasons, so that we can simulate a hot summer day at the beach, or a cold, snowy christmas day
what do you think? |

wind should also be a thing
with wind, you could have a true hurricane, tornado and all blizzard
and also to make wind better, weight (if it isn't already added) should go with wind.
that way if the wind is a certain speed, it can completely blow a part across the map, or if the part is a certain weight, it will stay put if not already anchored |

i'm just thinking of all the possibilities of all these ideas
like if we added rain, the terrain water would actually gain size (like how a puddle would in real life)
and in rain, certain materials may look different or change appearance, like fabric
and if we were to have a hurricane in a game, things could be blown over (if not anchored, or if the weight is not very much) |

I do support the rain and snow and stuff, but the other stuff is so easily scriptable, and is not really needed. |

@sup
remember this would be an optional feature, and wouldn't be forced upon a game. it will be toggleable in studio, so you can just leave it as it is now or if you want to add weather, you can |
|
|
I support, as long as it is optional. |

Woops, didn't read the post above me. |

@le
in the post above yours, i said it would be optional and toggleable in studio (means you can turn it on and off)
and once this reaches a sufficient amount of posts, i will make a final post with things removed that people didn't like |

All of this is scriptable. It doesn't even need complex scripts. It's not hard at all. Like I could make a pretty decent rain or snow script in under 10 minutes. Temperatures would be almost entirely pointless.
Seasons would be completely pointless. They are easily scriptable. It would glitch often because each game is different.
Wind is also scriptable, just use bodyforce. Weight already exists, that's why your character can't push larger parts quite as easily or quickly.
Basically, every idea you have thought of is easily scriptable, even seasons, although those are a bit more complex. |

"easily scriptable"
the reason i suggested this is because not everyone can script. i'm not a good scripter, and the majority of robloxians can't script
i want it so everyone can use this, without having to script |

Yes, but making this doesn't make them better builders, and they certainly wouldn't be able to make better games. |

@ulra
i never said it would make them make better games or make them better builders
i said it would make games more realistic |

ROBLOX is not Minecraft. But this should be useful in some games, so there should be an option to turn it on and off. |

@Above
Uhm, Minecraft isn't the only game with weather and stuff... :1
This has nothing to do with Minecraft...
Anyway, support! |

I don't really know about it. It would be built-in, making many places nearly identical.
@HD 1080p
ROBLOX is not high-res. |
