Recently sent an email to ROBLOX. Got a reply today regarding clothing copiers:

Thank you for writing to us about this. I'm sorry to hear about this, and know that some shirt creators are frustrated about this. This is an issue we have definitely taken note of and have been pondering. While direct copying is permitted at this time, please be assured that we have been thinking of potential solutions to this problem, and do not want players to steal others work for their own benefit. We take into account the methods players use to gain their money when cashing out via the DevEx, so those clearly violating our rules for personal gain won't profit.
As with many features we work on, we cannot disclose details or progress on this outside of our news blog. We really appreciate you voicing your concerns on this however. Gathering a large voice of this on our suggestions forum is definitely a way to make this problem more apparent!

Although this is a fantabulous idea, you know how making clothes on Roblox is, right? You go on OTHER fashion websites to use a picture of a piece of clothing you like, then etc. In this case, it is easy for someone, who didn't know that another person made the same shirt, makes it. Ok, so for those who don't get it; lets say I make a floral romper off of Forever 21's website. Ok, and a different person, who doesn't know that I have made the floral romper already, makes the same thing. |

Technically if you put the © or ® symbold or the TM people cannot copy it because of the rules associated with those symbols. Like Dunkin Donuts©. No official companies may use that name or style of the name without permission. If they do it's a copyright infringement and they can be fined and shut down. I do that to clothing I sell to show that I made it or uploaded it and that you cannot copy it without my permission. Yes I do copy, but it's either out of having no money, the item is off-sale, or it is requested by someone because it is off-sale. If it's a request it is sold to the people that get there first. And the requestor. If it's off-sale I will copy it for my own use. But I never sell clothing that I've copied without the original makers permission and credit. So a message to clothing CREATORS and not copiers. USE THE © OR ® OR TM ON YOUR CLOTHING AND MAKE SURE TO HAVE PROOF BY PUTTING YOUR NAME ON THE TEMPLATE!!
