You simply couldn't have a currency system that doesn't require users to purchase BC and/ or Tickets. Without these sources of income, roblox would have no income, not be able to employ any developers and very soon, go bust. This whole concept is rediculous and could not be realized. |

I agree with the tix/robux money system. I've been saving up every little tix I have to buy a little something but it sucks to not have enough tix ever.

Ok, first of all, No one would like to have to go to TONS of different websites to play a certain game. Second of all, why would a website buy that game when they can just play it, and then on their website make it themselves (if they have a website they should be a well enough scripter). So, your "plan" isn't so great because ROBLOX isn't going to sell PLACES to ANYONE. Why? because it is plain dumb, why buy a place for a ridiculous price, even if its $1 dollar, no one would buy it because why not just play the game on ROBLOX. And you cant take that game off of ROBLOX, the owner would not allow that if the game is that good to be noticed by ROBLOX. SO your "PLAN" is DUMB and USELESS. |

This isn't even the most recent version of this thread.
And why does anyone do this? Hell, why is there an entire industry for web game sponsorships, ads and exclusive and non exclusive licensing? The same reason this idea would work. Gamasutra, Zygomatic? This concept is already an entire industry. "DUMB" and "USELESS" obviously aren't applicable to this.
We've all acknowledged that this isn't something practical or something ROBLOX could use in its current state; you're a little under 2 years late to tell us that. But we've also acknowledged that it is a pretty good idea and well-thought out even though it's pretty bold and risky.
If you can't, that's OK. I'm still confused however as to how you even found this after it was inactive for over a year (plus the newest thread "Behold New ROBLOX has come back" has been locked since late 2014 so this idea is done and dead).
Don't bump this after this please. |

This sort of thinking is what's required to help solve problems in and out of the virtual world. Like seriously you could probably help fix the U.S.'s economic issues with this attitude I like it!
I see that you guys take into consideration the consequences of what's happening now as well as those of proposed plans. I think one of the most important things to consider is probably some kind of incentive or motivation for players (which you also covered very well). That's why I like the idea you've got up here with giving rewards to players and expanding access to more groups. The important thing here is to make sure players actually enjoy the experience so they come back.
Do I have any helpful suggestions? Not really. You seem to have covered the obvious and the not-so-obvious points. It's too bad this topic doesn't have a bigger audience. That would mean more perspectives and a greater variety of approaches to the issue. |

Well , the reason they force us to pay for this because they need the money for a better game (It's not cheap) I sorta disagree with this (In a friendly way :D). And they do this because of y'know BUISNESS , this system can't work without the players , and if ROBLOX does this.. OPEN YOUR EYES , EVERY OTHER GAME DOES THIS! They live off the players so they can keep going , I feel like they do enough to help us , tutorials , fight our copyright claims for us , but I agree with the way we should be taught in the ROBLOX studio , by builderman , ROBLOX etc. That's my looks on this. |
