About one month ago I created a thread to help perform a survey of what people had thought about these new genres that I did some research on. Everyone who had posted on that thread have supported my suggestions and gave me some helpful insight on expanding my thread even further. Because of that, I decided to employ my own suggestion and the suggestions of everyone who supported, to apply these new changes for the sake of exploring modern trends we see in most games. First, I'll give you the list of genres based on popular demand: -Strategy -Music -Survival -Social -Interactive -Racing -Simulation -Trivia -Murder These genres will not replace the existing genres we have now. This is to help apply our knowledge on what we know about genres, and if we can identify and correct the labeling of certain games that justify a fault in its classification of genre. Naturally, you would assume that this is beyond any problem that needs to be addressed at this moment, or that it might just be a waste of time because nobody pays attention to genres anymore. And honestly, you could be right. But if someone as perceptive as they are, created a game that had cars w/ a racetrack and labeled it as Racing, and somebody else copied his/her exact design and labeled it under a different genre, who would have the better chance of gaining more attention? The person who labeled their game under Racing. It's not because the other person was caught stealing someone else's work, but it was also because this person thought this game belonged to a different genre and, in the end, mislead people into playing their game. Apart from my list, I have another suggestion I hope you'd like. Multiple genres. Basically, if you think that your game is more than what it is perceived for, this feature will allow to to display 2 genres of any choice that you believe your game belongs under. Simple really, but the maximum will only remain at 2. I hope you liked this idea. If you have any suggestions to add-on to the list, I'll be happy to listen to them.

Bump. @Plaindevils (I should have made this post earlier) I did some additional research, and I see where your coming from. But it could represent a sub-genre to horror, just like how Survival is a sub-genre to Horror, hence "Survival Horror" I'll see whether I should keep or not, because there were some people who were suggesting this and I didn't want to disappoint them if it wasn't added on the list. Thanks for the support @blaster5647!

@Nigelrtehpwnzor Like I said, the genres I listed here aren't going to replace the genres we currently have. You can mix and match to see what genres represent your game the most. BUMP!

Tough crowd. o-o Fine, I'll take out "Murder" as a genre. I'll admit, if it wasn't more obvious to the consumer I'd keep it. Nonetheless, bump.

Support, and an addendum: -Showcase That is; highly detailed games with undefined objectives that are mostly just there to have their beauty admired.

Support. Crazy how Murder has become a genre. I think it's just a phase though, kind of like Survive the Disasters..

-Strategy - Support -Music - I don't understand what this would be used for. -Survival - Support -Social - Support -Interactive - Support -Racing - Support -Simulation - Support -Trivia - I don't understand this one either. -Murder - This classifies under Horror and doesn't deserve its own genre anyway.
