To be promoted a soldier must pass basic school exceptionally and pass his optional schools. The soldier can also be promoted and get a recommendation if he/she passes all classes and does an exceptional and professional job in the simulations. Another way to be promoted is to be recommended by all senior officers in his/her company. ONce a soldier is promoted, he/she starts with a clean slate, removed infractions, and class opportunities.

A demotion can be received by three or more infractions to the rank below. A demotion can also occur by failing all classes in basic school and a simulation. A demotion can only be to the rank below unless it is caused by four or more infractions or a grave infraction.
Infractions and Suspension
An infraction occurs if a soldier disobeys orders and disrespects others or breaks a rule. A soldier gets suspended after getting two or more infractions. Once a soldier is suspended he/she is put in the suspension rank and once the suspension is lifted, returns to the rank below from the one he was suspended from and works his way up. If a soldier is suspended he/she can not attend raids, simulations, or trainings, and can only attend classes until the suspension is lifted. After being promoted, all infractions are removed.
