ROBLOX Customer Service says the S&I Forum is the best way to encourage a change. So, with no further ado:
( This isn't about Price Floors. )
There has been much fuss about people reselling Clothing Creators/Designers originally uploaded clothing. There's even more users taking another user's template and re-uploading it onto their account and selling it for profit.( A lot of them do not give credit to the original up-loader. )
This issue has been brought up before but there have been no changes. I'm not too hopeful this post will do much, but it's worth a try.
Since kindly asking most "clothing copiers" to not re-upload another's clothing doesn't thoroughly work, I figure ROBLOX could make clothing unable to be copied or at the least create a punishment.
Here are my ideas:
1.) (I don't know how easy this would be.)Make clothing TEMPLATES unable to be seen. Just like hats and gear are. (Yes, they have templates. And they are see-able, but not by replacing the item's last ID number with it's -1 value. And they aren't to-scale.)
2.) Make clothing templates unable to be downloaded. Currently if you right click the template, there's an option to download it. Is it possible to disable that property?
3.) When clothing is approved, put a ROBLOX (or something) trademark over the template. If that won't mess up the original clothing.
4.) Make clothing able to be copy-locked, and if someone is to allow someone to copy their clothing, there should be a box where a user can enter people who can copy the clothing. If someone didn't have permission and copied it they would receive a warn/ban.
I have more ideas if those won't work.
#1 and #2 are the most efficient to me. I'll be waiting for a Mod. to reply... |

I support all the way. Im in NBC shirt creators just to upload my shirts because im NBC and I can make them but this is so rude. So many people spend their hard time making these clothes (trust me I know) and they just go on and copy them with out a care like stop. ITs one thing to copy them .. but to copy with and sell them? |

Perhaps if the price floor was gone, we wouldn't have copiers. But as it is, it's still fun to see those tumors that are fashion groups go insane when someone copies one bit of clothing. :P

however can't really stop them from downloading it, they can just take a screenshot of it, save it to computer, boom.
as for the actual copying process, the resolution is smaller in the template that you get with -1 value, meaning it's quality is lower. I've done it to make a custom uniform, I know.
but yeah, they shouldn't really allow people to copy and sell other people's clothes. Hard to enforce it though. |

@King, And if someone were to screen shot a template, it would be very poor quality. You're right.
@Cat, That's not the designer's fault. If you still want "free" clothing you could design some yourself, or ask a user if they'd let you copy their clothing.

Definitely supporting. Too bad ROBLOX already have said that they will not do anything with the copying situation. I say COPYING User Content should be prohibited. Just like building, there are designers out there who actually spend a lot of time in making clothing. |
