EDM has changed my life over the past couple of years. I first got into Dubstep in Sixth Grade. I listened to Skrillex all the time, from remixes, to live events. Later, everyone gave me a hard time in the "music world" because they said things about Skrillex. I listened to them, though. I started to search out for some more not-known, unfamiliar artists. I was searching for radios on my iPhone, then I hit something called "Drum and Bass." I clicked it. There was my new favorite genre. I was so amazed by the music, the 170BPM that gets your heartbeat going, I started researching it. It rooted from genres like Jungle (Which I love too). It also spreads into sub-genres like Liquid, Jazz and Bass, Hardcore, and others, too. Two years later, after listening to producers like Spor, Netsky, and even Technical Itch, who incorporates the Amen Break from almost forty years later, I received FL Studio for Christmas. It was the Fruity Loops Edition. Why not give it a shot? Let's throw some percussion and a bass or so, made a couple of beats, dragged the tempo bar up, and hit the play button. Sounded nice as it was my first time, also within a week I got the program. I kept making songs, but that Amen was the ultimate killer. The Amen Break blew my mind, the speed, the syncopation, the drums, so I started to use that in some "rookie" songs. I was a very good slicer (Taking samples and mixing 'em up). Then, the second generation came, as I took one step forward. Songs were even more developed. Now I had about five or six songs. I took an attempt in submitting a song to Newgrounds, a music portal site in which users can upload all kinds of entertainment and media. I have not been "scouted yet" (a method to make the poster verified), but soon in 2014, I hope I will get at least a little popularity, maybe a couple of ratings, some bookmarks, or downloads. Today, I still work hard in making some songs (not that good as REAL producers). That is how EDM changed, my, life.
