Support Two-Step Verification, reduce account scamming

Account scamming has become a larger problem on Roblox. There are all sorts of scams popping up every day; the comments are filled with people posting fraudulent links, bots are sending out scam PMs to random players, and some players are inserting scam GUIs into games to trick unsuspecting players. I know these may be obvious scams to us, but younger players might not know any better. Heck, a couple of my older friends fell for the latter scam when an exploiter attacked my place. (Luckily I got them to change their info quickly) I've met many players who have had their accounts hijacked and lost their items and money, and that certainly is no fun at all. Seeing how Roblox has now expanded into the mobile space with iOS and Android apps, I think now would be a great time to introduce 2-step verification for greater account security. For those who don't know, 2-step verification involves generating a special code on your mobile device that is required to log in to your account, on top of your PW, from unknown devices. (Once you log in, you can "trust" that device so you won't have to enter the code again on that device - other untrusted devices will still require it, though) So even if the hijacker gains access to your PW, they will not be able to log in without having your actual phone. Implementation of this feature would be simple, as there are already apps like Google Authenticator that support 2-step verification for many sites. In this day and age, higher account security is becoming more of a standard among many sites, and I think it's time for Roblox to follow suit. This would be a completely OPTIONAL feature. Obviously, if you don't have a phone, you would not be required to use this feature. If you do have one, great, you can stop any hijackers from getting on to your account. I see this as even more than just an account security upgrade. If Roblox makes it harder to hijack accounts, the scammers will become more discouraged and the community will become a cleaner place in general. None of us like seeing all the "GET UNLIMITED ROBUX" spam that's been going around everywhere. Even worse when a so-called "friend" tries to abuse your trust and make you fall for a dirty trick. "Younger players aren't even gonna have a phone to do this with!" I'm sure that their parents would be fine with setting up the authenticator for them. Stronger account security = more peace of mind for everyone. They certainly wouldn't want their child to lose their account, especially if they bought BC or Robux. ---------------------------------------------------------------- TL;DR: Allow players to add an additional layer of security to their account, preventing hijackers from accessing it even if their PW is compromised. In turn, if it is harder for hijackers to steal accounts, their numbers on Roblox will decrease and the community will become a cleaner, more trustworthy place.

Support. BTW, you don't need a smartphone for this. Google also released WinAuth, which is basically the same thing but it runs on Windows Siggies are for the weak.

Support. I posted something about this a while ago. My idea was something like STEAM's SteamGuard feature, so your account cannot be accessed from a new device without entering the randomly generated code, which is sent to you via the email attached to said account.
