Alt Metal would be Three Days Grace. Manson would count too, but he's more goth metal. I guess Pretty Reckless would fit in there. Your main examples would be Breaking Bejamin, Three Days Grace, Alice In Chains and Chevelle. Newer examples would be Pretty Reckless. Though, I completely despise them.
