Yes, I know this breaks WNTS rules, but I'm sure ROBLOX would be interested by this idea.
Many songs are over four minutes long, and cannot be uploaded to ROBLOX.
OBCers ought to have the privilege of uploading audio this long.
Why only them?
OBCers are the minority in ROBLOX, and audio requires memory on ROBLOX servers, which costs ROBLOX money.
This would be a great marketing strategy for them.
And why stop at that?
Give audio privileges to all types of ROBLOXians.
NBC: 10 seconds of audio, can create audio to the cap of 10 sounds effects.
BC = 2 minutes of audio, can create audio to the cap of 35.
TBC = 3 minutes of audio, can create audio to the cap of 45.
OBC = 4 minutes of audio, can create audio to the cap of 60.
The ROBLOX administrators seem happy earning money, and I don't see this update displeasing anyone, in fact I see it making people happy.
"Why should I support this? This is just another excuse for ROBLOX to be greedy."
No, this is an excuse for ROBLOX to make money, with which they can do things like upgrade the game engine to hold better graphics and cause less lag.
And you should not be displeased at this. BCers can still upload audio, this does not affect them. In my example chain, NBCers can upload short sound effects. And people who pay more money for BC get more privileges.
Everyone should be happy about this.
Hey, I'm just brainstorming, don't hate.

Not fair due to the fact that it requires robux to upload audio. And if NBC actually had robux, then they are only allowed to put up 10 seconds of audio. Everyone should have the freedom to put up as much sound as they please. |

They shouldn't reduce it to 10 seconds for nbc. It costs so much that it's hard to get the money so when you get it you should at least get something in exchange (not just ten seconds of audio). Also I don't know how I feel about the longer ones for tbc and obc, i mean weren't they planning to strech the limit anyway? |

I was not thinking about the cost of uploading the audio when I wrote the part of NBCers uploading audio.

@Above:
You missed the entire point of the post, didn't you?
The whole point of different tiers of audio upload lengths is to add incentive to buy BC without instituting negative affects to NBCers.
The chart I made was solely an example. Please separate it from the actual idea.
ROBLOX Seems to be running out of ideas to add incentive to buy BC, so they are now releasing updates that hinder the abilities of NBCers. (Yes, Price Floor, I'm looking at you.)
So, here ya go.

And you guys are acting as if someone is LOSING privileges here.
All that is happening is:
•Players gain privileges when it comes to audio.
•ROBLOX Makes money.
Everyone is happy.
Stop saying parts of this post are "unfair".
And, I EMPHASISE ONCE AGAIN,
The chart I made with the privileges is just for an example. Do not take it seriously, or consider it a legitimate part of the suggestion.

How are NBCers "not losing out" when their max audio length is set to 10 seconds instead of 120 (already having the disadvantage of having to raise the money in the first place) and how does having a cap on the number of audios you can have benefit anyone?

You can already upload audio that's 2 minutes, so it's pretty much useless for BCers. |

110% support...this could make me turn back to obc if this happens
shut up complaining nbc
you can brag about how good your lives are ouside
but cant afford 5$ a month

I really don't think NBCers should have less audio time. Maybe instead, they can stay at 2 minutes, BCers can go up to 2.5, TBCers 3, and OBCers 4. |

@3rdBlox:
I am sorry, I did not realize that NBCers could upload audio. I thought only Builders' Club members could.

That just shows that I have less personal bias.

I feel like the limit of two minutes arises new copyright and trademark issues.
2:00 (I believe) is the limit for which something can be considered a sound effect, and you cannot go after someone for using it, because it is always public domain.
With 4:00, you will see people copying and uploading loads of songs, and ROBLOX has no official way to handle those infringements.
