i want to create a game for once on roblox because i never have
looking at the front page, people like two things:
- guns
- survival
but since there are thousands of games like this, i want to put a creative twist on it
that's why i want to make a game that i'll call, Supply and Demand
basically people will get put into a map with a weapon. the weapon will be random, and can be anything from a poison syringe to a minigun. you are then given 2 names.
one person will be your buyer - who you have to pass off your weapon to
one person will be your supplier - who will supply your weapon
you'll also have a target, who will be nameless. more on that later.
you have to give the weapon you start off with to your buyer before you can kill your target. you also have to kill your target with the weapon that your supplier gives you. once you give your weapon to your buyer and get your new weapon from your supplier, you then have to hunt down your target. your target will be also trying to complete their objectives, so they'll be on the move.
about the target. everybody will be nameless. before every game, you get to customize your character with a number of things - their shirt, their pants, their hair, and their accessory (bandannas, sword packs, etc). everyone, however, will get a unique crystal color that floats over their head. as time progresses in-game, you get a new clue about your target. you get your first clue after you complete your first two objectives. after you deliver and receive a weapon, your first clue will be what type of hair your target has, as this will be the least variable option. after maybe 20 seconds, you'll learn what kind of pants they are wearing. in another minute, you'll learn what kind of shirt they are wearing. in maybe two more minutes, you'll learn what kind of accessory they have. since the whole game will be times, within the last 30 seconds of the round (rounds will last about 8 minuts), everyone's tools will be cleared and replace with a golden gun, and you will learn what unique color crystal your target has (they are the only one in-game with this crystal)
should you attack the wrong target, your weapon's damage will decrease by 15% for each wrong target hit. the incorrect person will be immune to your attacks however.
when you spawn, your buyer will be outlined in green and your supplier will be outlined in blue. these outlines will be vaguely visible through objects/walls
once a round is completed, you will earn a certain amount of currency. a round recap will be displayed, showing each player how much currency they earned, and why. currency is awarded through almost everything you do. you get currency for:
- dropping off the weapon to your buyer. the better the weapon, the more currency you get. of course, how good the weapon is is completely random. the buyer wont actually buy the weapon with their currency, but you'll still be awarded more currency for it
- killing your target. factors that award more currency include time elapsed and the weapon used to kill them, where slower, close range weapons award more currency.
- distance traveled. this is a way to combat camping. you get more currency for the more studs that you walk.
- possibly more? idk
before i forget since im coming up with all of this off the top of my head, in order to get your weapon from your supplier, you only need make contact with them. this way, if your supplier is afk, you can still get your weapon. same goes with your buyer, all you need do is tap them to give them their weapon.
with currency, you'll be able to buy a number of perks and stuff. you can improve the chances of receiving a certain weapon by 10%, and you can buy this multiple times. each time you purchase a 10% chance increase for a weapon, the next tier gets more expensive. if you get all 10 tiers, you're guaranteed to get a certain weapon from your supplier.
you can also buy different customization objects. yes, the goal is to blend in, but should you want to show off and challenge yourself, there will be certain clothing and hat items you can buy to look cooler.
other ideas include tiers that make your supplier/buyer spawn closer, tiers that make the person hunting you spawn further, tiers that increase walkspeed, tiers that increase health, etc. there's a lot you can do with this.
so yeah, i think i covered it all? sounds like a fun game if you ask me. any scripters interested?
