That really wouldn't work out, in the long run. What would happen when we get a new feature requiring a new page on the website? That would require large adjustments of the old site in order to function, and that would probably not be the best way to spend precious developer time.

Back in the day, I think until 2012, the layouts were optional on which one you wanted. They allowed you to choose which one of their layouts you wanted to use. But for some unknown reason, they took it away.

Learn some HTML coding, get working with Dreamweaver, and you will see why it is so hard to switch layouts on a page.
