Kytus Kurokiri was a young Seraph born into a family of Arcanum Mages. His Father was a Illusionist, His Mother a Healer, and His Older Sister a Conjuration Mage. Kytus was skilled in Hydromancy. He began showing high talent in his field of Hydromancy. He even became to exceed his Sister's magical power. So he decided to join Arcanum. Wishing to join the School of Destruction Magic. He even had gotten a nickname while studying within his field, "Rain."
Kytus also befriended a man known as, Ryujin Jenou, also known as "The Harbringer." Ryujin was a fellow Destruction Mage, except his field was Holy Magic. Soon enough these two men became very good friends, training together, eating together, doing whatever they wanted together as friends. Kytus and Ryujin became a unbreakable team. "Rain" and "The Harbringer," together as a team, sparring with fellow mages who challenged them.
That was till their friendship ended. The beginning of this was when Ryujin suddenly began being very silent, rarely speaking, and always having a face full of despair. Kytus always had asked what the problem was, but he never opened up. This rolled on for weeks, beginning to turn into months, when Kytus had a idea. He thought possibly this could be something that had happened at Ryujin's home, so he trailed him back to his house.
After Kytus had seen Ryujin enter his home, he went around the house and entered from the back. Instantly, when he entered he had smelt something extremely horrid, like a rotting carcass. So he then became sneaking around the home, following the horrible smell, till he had reached a room that was barricaded tightly. Kytus then began thinking about what Ryujin could be keeping in here. After a few moments Kytus had fallen unconscious, being hit in one of his pressure points on his neck.
He woke up hours later, tied up and inside a dark room, with the stench as horrid as it could be. Then a the lights were switched on, It took a few seconds for Kytus to adjust to the light, then he looked forward to see the room splattered in blood, and Ryujin standing infront of him. Kytus began questioning Ryujin on what happened here, as he was talking, he then saw two corpses laying on the floor infront of him, they were the bodies of Ryujin's parents, with a hole in his father stomach, and part of his mothers neck cut. Kytus then began yelling at Ryujin's cursing slightly. Ryujin answered that when he had come home one day late at night, his parents were arguing. He wanted to find out why, so he became trying to enter in on the argument, when suddenly his father had pushed him to the wall, screaming at him. His mother followed with screaming at his father.
Ryujin's father then had went and grabbed one of his swords, and raised it infront of Ryujin, yelling at the top of his lungs, Ryujins mother tried to stop him, but.... that was one mistake she wished she could redo. Ryujin's father had sliced down with the sword, cutting Ryujin's mother's juggular, bleeding to death. He then raised the sword on Ryujin, before he had the chance to react, Ryujin had blasted his father in the stomach. Ryujin then began crying, uncontrollably, he had cried all night, never stopping, when he had tried sleeping he had nightmares of himself and his father. Soon enough he began losing his mind.
Ryujin then had gone and grabbed the bloodied sword on the floor, proclaiming that death would be better than these nightmares. He swung the sword down, piercing his lungs. Kytus had pulled out a knife he had kept on him and cut the rope that kept him tied. He rushed over to Ryujin who had fallen to the floor. Kytus began crying over the body of his nearly dead friend. Ryujin had then raised his hand to Kytus placing it on his shoulder, proclaiming that he wouldnt have to witness these nightmares anymore, he had also spoken to Kytus, was to become stronger for both of them. Ryujin's hand dropped from his shoulder, his body became cold. Kytus had in his arms, the corpse of his best friend. Kytus then had gotten up, and left the home. He will keep the last words of Ryujin with him, he will become stronger for both of them. He had then left back to his home, scarred for life...
