Recently, my game got a virus where all tools disappear in workspace. (I think it is a virus because tools appear in other games). ALl the anti virus things have been used by me and none of them have made the tool appear in workspace. Is there a way to search all of workspace to find anything related to a tool or do I have to pick through it by hand?

Hello Cheeso135, The easiest way to fix this problem is to revert your game to a previous version where the virus did not appear in your game. Next time, make sure you are careful what models you insert in your game. Thanks, Data

Yeah. Problem is, I did not notice it until now….And I have a feeling this happened a while ago. So I am manually looking for what?

Hello, Go to your game. Under 'Options', click on "Configure This Place." Click on "Version History" and revert the game to a version you think is a date you inserted the virus. In other words, Place > Configure > Version History Thanks, Data

Yeah I know thanks. But this happened about 2 months ago, in which my game has undergone SOOOOO many changes that I am not willing to redo. Basically, when I started the game, I inserted a sword from free models that I think infected my game. So that is not an option. Any other ways?

Well if you think the virus occurred when you inserted the sword from free models, then it is possibly the sword. Delete that from Workspace or you want to keep it, open it up and delete any script out of the ordinary that may be causing the virus. Thanks, Data

I did. :/ A while ago lol I don't know what it is, but it was from the beginning of the game (Something with a mesh)

What you can do is either check every single item fully or you can copy the 100% safe items to a new project and then carry on from there. As said above, if you backup your latest project, revert it to a time where the virus was not there, you can copy the safe items over to the earlier project and then work from there. That is why it is best to check items before you use them :)

Yeah ok. I will check every item fully. But. Is there any way to know what I am looking for? (e.g. little blue box, script, line inside an existing script?)
