I swear, I don't mind rap, but all I hear on the radio is rap. I want to listen to Punk, Rock, Heavy Metal, or anything besides rap >__<. I mean people are like "RAP ISH TEH BUMB" |

No way. *IN BRITAIN* Radio 1 never plays any good Rock/Meta songs like I'd like to hear... but they ARE starting to p[lay Paramore, but only the brand new eyes stuff which sorta goes off the rock and intp the alt... But still. We need Rock+Metal+Punk! NOW! |

Rap is not over rated. Mainstream Rap is overrated.
If you want to listen to some good rap: Sabac Red, Nas, Jedi Mind Tricks or Army of the Pharaohs. |

Paramore's newest song (Ignorance) is only on the radio because it is a special song to the band. Before it was released, they were fighting and arguing according to Kerrang Mag, and this single brought them back together. Other than that, its Pop this, Pop that... >__< I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!! AAHH!!! |

Looks like Im going to have to go into Auto Pilot, now. I don't know how many times I've said it now... What you dislike is Hip Hop. I can agree with this accusation of hip hop being annoying, and too frequently seen throughout the radio, and music industry. I DO NOT like hip hop...
But some types of Rap are excellent. Bands like 'Rage against the Machine', 'Street Sweeper Social Club', 'Run DMC', 'The Beastie Boys', and even 'The Red hot Chili Peppers', incorporate a great rapper with a traditional rock or metal band. The result is something that is just too awesome for words. Plus, when the bands use their music for a purpose- Like Rage against the Machine (Anarchy, Dispute, Rebellion, etc), it makes the rapping meaningful and passionate. So, I say it again, There is some good rap. |

Rap is in NO way overrated! Hip hop talks aboutt real world issues and certain things. Most people listen to the popular rap and hear the cursing and talking about women but thats only certain rappers. hip hop should not be critisized because of careless rapperrs like that. Hip hop is not overrated and obviously more people want to hear it since its on the radio WAY more than any other crap. And things like heavy metal and all STINKS! all they do is scream there heads off till blood vessels pop and the worst part is they dont even know what there sayin! Hip hop has LYRICS and heavy metal just has SCREAM SCREAM SCREAM! Now I am a fan of soft or classic Rock sch as the beatles, kiss etc. But come on guys seriously, Why ROCK??? can someone explain? |
