Who Do You Think Are The Most Important People To Metal? (People Not Bands) I think Matt Heafy from Trivium as he when he was 19 did the album Ascendency and then after that was asked and became a captin for Roadrunner United. Also I think Corey Taylor as he can do many vocal types/techniques very well, ranging from diffrent types of agresive/screaming vocals, to soft/medolic vocals.

Just because hes a good singer doesnt mean he made metal better, id have to say the members of black sabbath and the members of slayer mettallica and anthrax.

In my opinion, the most important people in metal are Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Rob Halford, K.K. Downing, Steve Harris, Lemmy, James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Chuck Schuldiner, 'Dimebag' Darrell Abbott, Vinnie Paul Abbott, Kerry King, and Dave Mustaine.

well ozzy obviously, James Hetfield. Basically everyone else in Metallica And on a personal level, I think corey taylor would be with them too me cause Slipknot basically got me into metal

Killswitch Engage Are Important To Me A Lot. Their Not The Most Important In Metal. But They Were My First Heavy Metal Band I Liked, And I Looked At What Label They Were On (Roadrunner). And I Looked At Other Bands On That Label, And Therefore Got Into A Lot I Have Now.
