I agree, I want to be able to upload basic sound effects like gunshots and car idling, but it costs 100 robux each. It will take me 6 days just to create a 1 second sound effect.
I think that the 100 robux for the audio should be for music only, and not audio.
100 robux is too much. I think every audio upload should be 10-25 robux, maybe up to 50 for big files. But not 100.
Personally, I think that they should make uploading audio files completely free. If we can create T-Shirts and models/games for free, why can't we do the same with audio?
Things like groups are worth the investment because once bought, they will last forever (or atleast until roblox dies). But an audio file, usually you use for one small thing, and you need 3-5 audio files for a game. What about a model? You don't want a truck and supercar to have the same engine noise. It will cost you 200 robux just to make two tiny little sound effects. However, the models have improved quality, and more people will like them.
I think audio increases the quality of a game. People should have the right to custom sound effects and music for free.
In fact, if we have to make it paid, why not with tickets? All they do is sit there for years, doing nothing. Tickets are only useful for a tiny portion of hats, a tiny portion of game passes, advertising, and to be converted into robux at a terrible 1 robux to 20 tickets rate (back in 2011 it was 1 robux 10 tickets). |

Unfortunately, I disagree with you to some degree.
Temporary solution (I'm throwing this out before telling you about the part I agree on)
* You can simply compile all your short audios (allowing you to effectively upload at least 60 different sounds in one audio, giving a second interval between each audio) into one two minute one, then simply choose the starttime and endtime for the audio (e.g. start from 0;20 end at 0;21)
I agree, to some degree, on the audio pricing, however the amount you provided is asking a bit much. I think that it should not be a matter of precise numbers, but a slightly more rounded system. A few examples are listed here.
* Less than or equal to 1 Second of audio== 5 ROBUX
* Less than or equal to 5 Seconds of audio==10 ROBUX
* Less than or equal to 15 Seconds of audio== 25 ROBUX
* Less than or equal to 30 Seconds of audio== 45 ROBUX
* Less than or equal to 45 Seconds of audio== 60 ROBUX
* Less than or equal to 60 Seconds of audio== 70 ROBUX
* Less than or equal to 90 Seconds of audio== 90 ROBUX
* Less than or equal to 120 Seconds of audio== 110 ROBUX
-THIS IS AN IDEA THAT I THOUGHT OF, HOWEVER IT DID NOT SEEM RATIONAL SO I SPLIT IT FROM THE OTHER TEXT-
Now, if you like, you could add some sort of loyalty accumulation, similar to the BC loyalty system. (This is not even a rational idea, but it occurred to me for a moment.)
--For every audio uploaded, the cost of purchase of an audio is decreased in each value by 1 ROBUX until the cost reaches 90% of its original value.
1 would then be 4 ROBUX
5 would then be 9 ROBUX
15 would then be 23 ROBUX
30 would then be 41 ROBUX
45 would then be 54 ROBUX
60 would then be 63 ROBUX
90 would then be 81 ROBUX
120 would then be 99 ROBUX
It would take twelve uploads to reach minimum values.
-END-
The reasoning behind this rounded system is to provide the user with some incentive to upload larger audios thus saving them ROBUX if you account the amount of time of total audio rather than the individual audios them self. |

"That has been going on for years, it's hardly fixable now, so why bother? "
Thats like saying Global Warming has been going on for years, but its hardly fixable
So why bother trying to further prevent it? |

I noticed that there was an extreme lack of Shantae music available for Roblox. So, likewise, I decided I wanted to change that; only to realize that I couldn't, because uploading audio to the library costs Robux. Then I stumbled onto this thread. I really hope Roblox sees this thread and changes this system, because this is just plain bad. |

What about the Image uploading? you could upload more of 5 images in 30 seconds, now i have to wait a Whole minute to upload more images? |
|

I honestly think making an audio should be free.
|
|
|
So making a audio for a song from Dance Moms that is about 3 minutes long would cost 300$? That's just messed up... |

Am I the only one who supports this?
777% support. Audio is a necessity in any good game. |
