*UPDATE LOG:
-New ranks added (Major + Brigadier)
-Roles added for Major and Colonel
//:_NOTE:
Before you go on and read the following promotion guidelines, please do take note of the following;
-Members can only gain one promotion for every 2 days.
-Highranks reserve the right to promote members for reasons that may not be included on this thread.
-It is MUCH harder to gain promotions the higher your rank. Don’t assume you are terrible; it just takes time to get noticed.
-At the rank of Operative+, you are encouraged to PM a Colonel if you are interested in becoming a highrank!
-At the rank of Officer+, you are to host at LEAST 2-3 trainings/raids/events PER WEEK if you wish to maintain your rank.
-At the rank of Officer+, you will be expected to attend weekly meetings, which will be hosted every Friday at a specified time, and must download the Teamspeak.
[-Low Ranks-]
For the lower ranks, promotions are handed out relatively the same way. If you attend a training at the early stages, regardless of how well you did, you have a really high chance of gaining a promotion UNLESS you act highly immature and show up into an event mid-way. Though, as you advance through the lower ranks, take note that promotions will soon be awarded based on succeeding throughout these specific events as opposed to just showing up and proving your activity/loyalty. Lower rank promotions will be based on a lower standard. Do realize that because this is stated, you can still be demoted for not even trying (at a training, raid, defense, etc).
//:_Novice

//:_Infiltrator

//:_Adept

[-Middle Ranks-]
For the middle ranks, promotions will be based on your current ranking, meaning the higher you are, the harder it should be to gain a promotion. With this said, attending one simple training in most cases won’t get you promoted to the next rank. The middle ranks require dedication and courage in order to advance through this stage, not necessarily just skill. Furthermore, since you are also close to your way to becoming a high rank in training, more factors are needed in order to prove yourself. Do be aware that if you are asked to prove something and show something to gain the next rank, failing to show it after gaining that rank will result in a demotion.
If you fall inactive or are constantly immature, and continue to fail to purchase the uniform or put it on upon going offline, you WILL be demoted back to Sentinel

[-High Ranks-]
As you have advanced through the middle ranks, you should have gained at least a bit of perspective as to what ideal attributes we seek in our members. Upon making it to the early stages of a high rank, you will gain the vital skills needed in order to advance even further in TVN. This stage of your career will arguably be your hardest one yet, so be prepared for anything to happen.
//:_Major
As a Major, it is your job to learn as much as you can. You will be heavily supervised, and have very few powers at this rank. However, it is crucial that you pass this supervision stage BEFORE you become an Officer, regardless of your experiences in clans in general. At this stage, you must prove to the rest of the highcommand that you are ready to become a full-fledged highrank of The Valiant Nation, which is why if you slip up even once, you are risking your career within TVN.
Majors are typically selected by Colonels, however you can also be promoted to this rank by a General or even the Imperator himself. You must be at LEAST an Operative to apply to become a Major, otherwise your application won't be taken seriously. After being chosen, you will be expected to host a training UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A COLONEL, and assuming you pass the test, you'll be free to continue hosting trainings as a Major (Promotions earned during the training will be sent in to Colonels as well). It will be up to the Colonel to train you as you host the training, in order to ensure that you are hosting the training correctly.
To sum it all up, in order to become a Major, you must follow these requirements:
-Be ranked Operative+ before applying
-Send a Private Message to a Colonel stating that you wish to apply/be interviewed for the position
-Be known to already be mature and a respected member within The Valiant Nation
//:_Officer: Rank limit: 8-10
As an Officer, it is your duty to host events within The Valiant Nation in order to keep it active and stable. Officers are typically chosen from the rank of Major, and it is up to Colonels to select you as an outstanding Major. After serving a 1-2 week term as an active Major, the Colonels will meet up with some of the highcommand, specifically the General and Imperator, and discuss your part within the clan. If you are deemed able, you will be promoted to the rank of Officer. Officers have much more serious outcomes if something goes wrong, as now you will be entrusted with rank changes, and ensuring that they are given out fairly. Failing to be able to do your job as an Officer properly can end in a more serious consequence.
To sum it all up, in order to become an Officer, you must follow these requirements:
- Gain 3 recommendations as an outstanding Major from Officers+ (You can do this by hosting several trainings and being active as a Major)
- Be able to host 2-3 events on a weekly basis as an Officer
//:_Colonel: Rank limit: 2-4
As a Colonel, it is your duty to look after the Officer core and ensure that they are kept as unbiased and non-corrupt as possible. It is their task to directly seek out new Officers to replace old ones, and work towards gaining new Majors by sending out application processes every few weeks. It is a Colonel's task to ensure that both Officers and Majors are kept active, and to deal with any issues that may arise from this.
To sum it all up, in order to become a Colonel, you must follow these requirements:
- Continue to maintain the average by hosting several events on a weekly basis
- Be able to maintain the role of a Colonel
- Serve a 1-2 week term as an Officer
- Be selected by a General or the Imperator
NOTE: If you are struggling at the rank of Officer to gain this rank, you can and will be demoted back to the rank of Guardian or even Operative
//:_General
- Prove your complete loyalty to the Nation as a Colonel as well as leadership qualities
- Be handpicked by the Imperator
