People have been asking me to post ideas on the PIR group page, I decided to post it on a forum instead (Wouldn't fit onto the group wall). (TL;dr group and game link at the bottom) NPC natives/barbarians: NPC natives/barbarians occupy land and areas around the map. -When attacked, the NPC will grow aggression towards that team based on how many times each person on that team has attacked them. (The value goes up per person). -Once a player leaves, that value is reset. NPC camps can be destroyed, but will grow in areas that are unoccupied. Inflation and Currency: Players have an option of creating, or founding a currency once they join. -Requirements to founding a currency include having a PIR group with atleast 4 members. (Helps increase community involvement), -The leader of each group issues currency based on trade, etc. (Encourages travel and interaction with other players). -Players who spam the currency will go through hyper inflation, where their currency essentially becomes useless. Monsoon and weather: Sea levels will rise periodically. (Causes sailing, and trading to take alternate routes). Social policies/Culture: -Social policies are gathered through the amount of minutes each group collectively has. (Encourage players to join larger groups), minutes are converted into "culture points" which can then be spent on Social policies which gives small benefits: Ex; Monarchy (+Currency towards that team), Republic (Faster boat movement), Piety (NPC natives/barbarians have closer ties, can trade), Nationalism (Slightly higher health, slightly faster movement), Mercantilism (+++currency), Navigation (+++Boat movement). -Each policy will branch out and increase it's benefit slightly through each progression tile in that policy. I understand these may be far fetched ideas. However, these ideas solve some problems we have may had otherwise, and enhance the gameplay. The ideas are designed to work hand in hand with each other. Opinions on your ideas: -Weather: I think toggle-able weather effects, like rain and lightning, would be a neat addition to the game. However, weather that actually impacts gameplay would probably generate more lag to an already laggy game. -Currency and Culture: As said on the group wall, let's not turn this into an MMORPG. I've also got a few ideas to add on here: - Marshland. It's been suggested a few times on the wall, though many people are suggesting an entirely new land. However, Mainland is quite small despite being called Mainland. I propose a new area be added to Mainland called Marshland. - Hairs for NPCs. Especially female. This can be done by using a traits tool on the head, and a menu will pop up allowing you to select a hair style, or helmet/hat (like the hat selection in the menu). The NPC faces will be moved here, as well. I had other ideas, but I've forgotten them. I may post them as I think them up.

Lands I think -Grassland: Could have its own team or be an addition to Dryland. I don't care. Team-less lands: -Borderland: Blocks people from sailing off the edge of the world. -Wasteland: Land with no trees and very few minor hills. "Dust" obscures your vision, and an air meter similar to the one when swimming is present. Volcanic activity may be present (blackened earth, mini-volcanoes, lava pools, ect.). This land may also be Borderland.
