uses the idea of having a sword and a shield so you equip a tool and you have a sword and a shield in one hand, when you attack with the sword, it uses the animations in medieval melee for example, but one click = slash 2 clicks = thrust 3 clicks = overhead hit if you hit the opponents shield it nullifies the damage to the opponent. good idea or no? it will require more flanking to defeat your opponent and with the simple combo moves to do more variation you'll most likely have '1v1 fights' taking place where people go walking into little circles for movements.

That's basically like the new sword animations.

when you are fighting you will be constantly clicking on paper the theory is, besides its being 'whoever has more health wins' you have the ability to protect yourself from enemy slashes and the ability to attack the enemy. in the sword will be in the right hand, then shield in left. you would be fighting most likely clockwise to defeat your opponent, and change direction to break the circle, combo moves would add more variation slash = 35 dmg thrust = 45 dmg overhead attack = 90 damage

then you can probably add sound effects whenever you hit the enemies shield you can add a deflection sound whenever you hit the enemies sword you can make a perry sound maybe even a sound effect when you apply damage to the enemy
