Yep. Last year of middle school for me and I am in fact on the Football team, but things have uh... gone South.
On our second game, one of my closer friends took a helmet to the knee-cap, evidently breaking his patella.
On our third game, the other team was playing dirty and one of my other close friends tore his LCL. Yes, LCL, not ACL. It was on the first play, too, which makes it even more weird that something like that would happen.
Also on that third game, a sixth grader nearly got his shoulder dislocated, so he's out for at least a few weeks.
And, over the past few weeks, three kids have quit. That leaves us with eleven players, just enough to put everyone on the field, however we are capable of playing with only ten people.
Point is, it really does suck because I have a game tomorrow and I'm not going to come off that field. Has anyone ever had this happen to them before? |
