Legitimate case; according to English law there is no apps that are allowed to assess your devices with out your permission - or required to be there.
The facebook app "messager" can assess your audio, video, and every single one of the files inside it for market advertisement - breaking the law.

I had read the terms and conditions and it doesn't mention anything about the permissions it uses on your iPhone - if I can't use it on the laptops I can use the iPhone to my advantage |

Facebook & google do the same thing.
Facebook takes your interests and likes and recommends the most popular options amongst other people who like the same things you do.
Google does the same thing. They collect all of your browsing data, interests, contacts and page visits and finds the most appropriate ads that fall into your category.
You'd have a case of breach of trust, only if they didn't have you sign and agree to their terms of service through Facebook, which states, you're giving them access to that information. |

I've been able to access it, + it asks for being allowed to acces files once you send one, microphone once you record, and the rest when you use those. You're an idiot |

For an app to gain access to your microphone/photos/camera, it requires you to give it permission. It typically prompts you when you first open the app. |
