A United States of Europe will never ever happen, not while one of the lead members of the EU (UK) generally dislikes the idea of ever closer union. The Euro Skepticism movement is gathering strength throughout Europe, therefore it is unlikly to ever happen. Also that would require a new treaty, and under UK statute it states if there is any more transfer of power away from the the United Kingdom Parliament, then there's an automatic referendum regardless of if the government likes it or not. Also the European project has failed, it holds too much power from unelected people in the commission. Unless there is a fully open and democratic process for the European Union the Euro Skeptic movement will just continue to gather strength. Know what you're talking about. Also according to the latest figures, it is predicted the UK economy will over take the German Economy.
